sage or demon for cleric?

i know its a long way right now but i was looking at the skills and a lot of them r good...which would any lvl 89+ cleric prefer or just any1 at all b:pleased

    in the general consesus ive asked, it seems demon is more suited for attack oriented clerics, and sage is more for support:

    there are only 3 readily avaliable cleric skills, unless you are rich/know people to delta with

    Cyclone
    Summon an immense cyclone on the enemy, inflicting Metal damage equal to your base magic
    attack plus 100% of weapon damage plus 3380.0 plus 600. Has
    a 95% chance to reduce the enemy's movement speed by 40% for 8.0 seconds.
    Sage version reduces enemy's speed by 45% and increases effect duration by 1 second.
    Demon version does an extra 600 damage.

    Plumeshot
    Focus your psychic energy to form sharp quill arrows to attack
    the enemy. Inflicts physical damage equal to your base magic
    attack plus 100% of weapon damage plus 3390.0 plus 800.
    Demon version reduces both channel and cooldown times to 1.2 seconds.
    Sage version does an additional 800 damage.

    purehearted blessing
    Bless the target to recover 1375 HP plus 50%
    of your base magic attack. Has a chance to recover a percnetage of the target's max HP.
    Sage version has a 25% lower mana cost
    (spell costs only three quarters of that listed above)
    Demon version has a 25% chance to recover 5% of maximum MP

    how is demon for "atack" oriented clerics if u do more dmg with sage plum shot <.<?

    hmmm idk either lol but sage does sound pretty good b:pleased i just wanna know if im gonna be making the right choice lol

    those are just 3 skills >.>; doesnt mean the rest arent highly support oriented

    Cooldown 1.0 second
    Weapon Unarmed, Magic Instruments

    Requisite Cultivation Aware of the Myriad
    The target's equipment grants 60% extra magic defense
    for 30 minutes and increases channeling speed for 10 seconds.

    Sage version increases the target's channeling speed by 20% for 10 seconds

    exept the demon Celestial Guardian's Seal is just cheating lol but then again the sage Spirit's Gift is the same xD

    I think I will be going sage as well ^^ I like being a support Cleric...However I heard demons IH recovers mana too? were people just kidding me or is this the truth? o.o

    looked over this choice a lot as well and it is pretty balanced in the end I think.

    I went demon.

    Giving out mana and chi seemed to fit better with what I do most, the mana heal from IB isnt that big. but just like IB it does stack, and if I need mana for myself demon side gets a 900 over time regen buff as well.

    the biggest differences I have seen are that I need a target to get my chi from and my res only takes 3 seconds, but has less range.

    but honestly I think with cleric the demon/sage difference is almost perfectly balanced

    Because plume shot is the worst damage dealing spell the cleric has. It's fairly fast but not enough. Whit the 20% inc damage on all metal magic, plume and razor are almost put on the side.

    The only reason A demon cleric use Plume shot is to kill AA whit low gear real fast, And MP cost.

    Thunder ball does the same base damage, crit higher then plume shot.

    Unless your a R9 cleric, plume shot is almost useless.

    Then to answer the other part of your question, Demon cleric have lower channel time, and lower casting time, inc damage, inc metal reduction. Longer lasting effect. There 2 stun skill lose there damage reduction and speed reduction.

    So the demon cleric is faster, hit harder and has lower disadvantage when he try to control the opponent.

    Sage cleric on the other hand have healing bonus, and defense bonus.

    If your not planing on going R9, I would go sage ! Makes you harder to kill, imo.

    I chose demon back before r9 and it was realy fun in pvp. Now whit sin, it's not important.

    Also the chi bonus from sage is a real +, combine whit cloud eruption, you can farm a lot of mob before you need to use any mp pot. IF sage spark give mp like demon spark.

    When you reach lvl 89 and have to decide between sage and demon, decide based on your own playstyle. both sage and demon have their pros and cons. Plus this discussion has already been done in the cleric sub forums. im planning on goin demon for a few reasons.

    1 Demon IH recovers mp for each cast

    2 Demon purify requires no chi to cast

    3 Demon SOR gives a 100% phys def bonus

    so dont let anyone tell ya the way to go for sage/demon. Go based on your own playstyle plus its not entirely true that demon is for pvp and sage for pve. both heal in their own way.

    Demon: Attack/Support style

    Sage: Support style

    i hope that covers it for ya till you reach 89.
