This may be posted somewhere else and probably is but i didnt find it. Anyway im just starting the game (literally just installed) and the servers are down :( so i thought instead of just going in and making a character bludgeoning my way thru to get a taste for the game id ask for any suggestions on what to play for a first attempt. I was looking at Venomancer because in my exp. characters with pets tend to level pretty quickly and easily when playin on your lonesome. However, Assassin resembles the wow equivalent rogue which i have always had a soft spot in my heart for. Now I'd like to open it up to more veteran players what do you think would be a balanced start for me. I have some exp playing fantasy MMO games (EQ WoW etc etc) so i dont necessarily need a newbie class but something somewhat resilient and more importantly fun to play. Thanks for the help.

In my experience, a balanced class to play out thats also pretty fun is a blade master. A wide variety of choices if you dont go with the flow, (pole n' sword ftw). But, i would test out all the characters at some point as well. Really, its pick and choose the one you believe is best.

Two cents from a terribad wizard, yo. :P

clerics offer a bit of balance with the fact they do magic dam, phys dam, and can heal, and alot of other things, also venos and blademasters offer tons of balance depending on how you play them as well, only way to know though is to just try each one

Yes, good idea. Play Veno first.
You can save more pots, and also, less money to be spent on the armor repair.
Later on, when you decide to play Sin, send all the pots and the money you save from your Veno to your Sin.

Have fun with your Veno~ b:victory

Venos are great as a first time class. Pretty easy to grind, you get skills for both HP and MP unlike most of classes where you get only HP or MP at later levels (mystic) you get pet to tank for you while you dd/ collect drops b:laugh and venos are always welcomed in high level instances for their debuffs as well.

I was wondering the same thing on what player I should chose. I was also thinking a Veno but was not sure until now. Thank's guy's for the comments and the starting of this topic for redirection in my choice.
