i stop meditateing in Realm of Reflection

Ok so i try to do an 6 hr afk meditation in RoR and i stopped meditating 3 times in a 4 hr time frame.
Anyone know why i just stop meditation while i still have Reflection time remaining?

    I've done quite a few 4-12 hour meditation sesions and not once has reflection timer stoped itself. My guess is someone is pressing stop manually on your pc as this is the first I've heared of this problem..

    I actually came out of meditation while the reflection timer was still going, if that's what you mean. From what I can tell, you can still get the exp if you're on mount instead of meditating.

    Hmm, that never happened to me.

    I left my mystic meditating for the entire night when I was sleeping, and when I woke up 10 hours later, I still saw her meditating and gaining EXP.

    Meditating as "Reflecting" (don't know how to call it b:laugh) or meditating as in sitting in that blue bubble around you?

    reflecting time is the name given to what you are doing in RoR while meditating to gain exp and spirit.
    so you saying you can use a mount outside of RoR and still get credit for the reflection? does that include a flying mount and can you meditate outside of RoR?
    The name reflecting is confusing to some that haven't read the long quest text from the npc that get you into RoR.

    You need to be inside Realm of Reflections, to be able to use Reflective Shards.

    But you don't have to meditate in there. You can just stand, you can sit, you can jump around, you can walk, you can be on mount...

    There are certain skills that can knock you out of meditation state, but you still get XP.
    Two people might have been dueling near you and set off a skill that popped you up.

    got an equal problem


    i was out for 3 hours so i thought i might get exp while afk

    when i came back only 24 minutes went down from the counter
    it didnt stop, it was still active when i came back, but just 24 mintues in 3 hours ?

    I tried the reflection xp a few times, but I haven't seen this problem. And, as far as I know, you do not need to be meditating to actually reflect. I've done it just standing in the RoR.

    It's happened to me (4 times) so far (on multiple characters); but only on {HT} server (Both {Archo & LC} have ran it perfectly to date (for me) so far.)...b:sweat

    But mine is the server forcing (Dsc) on me while I'm in there; its almost running an occurance as a clockwork thing, at a rate at about (1 time~every 4 times)....b:cold


    My guess is its an (in~program) glitch, yet to be found by the (PROGs).......b:surrender

    As far as I can tell, you will *stop* reflecting when you reach your 12 hour limit. If this happens before the reset at noon, you will not automatically resume reflecting upon the reset, you will have to manually restart it. But if you are able to time your reflection so that it will over lap with the reset, it will just continue through that until you've used up your 12 hours for the new day.

    Can't say I've ever had my reflection timer ever stop for me but when the update came out I knew that if left inactive for long periods of time my PC would auto sleep/hibernate which sometimes (usually all the time) made me D/C from PW, so I edited the settings to stop my PC from doing those things and would remain on no matter how long I left it. If you've not done this already you could give it a try and see if that helps. b:bye

    The answer to your problem requires you to first clarify what you actually meant. Did you mean that:
    1. your reflection timer stops
    or
    2. you are in meditate mode within the realm and when you come back your character is no longer in meditate position

    If it is number one, I would say you have to submit a ticket as this does not seem to be happening to anyone else, unless you had run out of shards. If it is number two, this seems to be a common occurrence but is entirely harmless. You do not have to be meditating to be gaining experience. It is probably caused by people dueling, as suggested in a post above.

    This. I've done quite a bit of reflecting for xp on the toons I am actively trying to lvl, (the others just accumalating shards and will use them at some point lol)

    Even Dual clienting I haven't had a problem of xp stopping unless I dc, which only happened once (which surprises me cause usually if I'm afk my pc dcs lol)

    The reset just happened minutes ago.
    I had my sin there all night with 10 hours of reflect time and he went through the reset without getting knocked out of reflection.
    He's showing 11:57 hours/mins left after reset.

    I'm going with the idea that OP actually meant the character stopped meditating, not stopped receiving exp. Which as already started can be caused by interactions from other nearby players. You will however continue to gain exp even when not in the meditative state.

    exactly. you go to the realm of REFLECTION to REFLECT upon your daily journeys, you can be hugging your lover or whatever you can imagine, and still gain your exp and spirit once you have *reloaded (first for some reason.. makes no sense to reload something thats never been loaded)* and then starting your reflection timer.

    being in a MEDITATION (hp/mp regen doubled in this pose) state is not required for REFLECTING. and fyi, aoes like a bm roar will knock you out of meditation state even though you aren't in pk. any aoe done to one of those mobs in there will make you stop meditating.

    Moral of the story? don't worry about it :)

    anyways if the instance was an actual new instance instead of a used up bh metal instance i think i would go afk in it on my lower toon.They reuse mobs that are on the map as bosses..now they lazy and reuse instances as afk instance..stank pw stank!b:chuckle

    I had 15 hours of time racked up, I left it there afk, it did a full 12 hour session, it stopped automatically when 12 hours was up, then, when the instance reset and allowed a new session, it automatically restarted for my final 3 hours.
