figure out this damn movie title! it's a dubbed kung fu film, i i THINK it either stars jet li or chow yun fat

there's this old lady, and shes the hero's mom. shes trying to escort kids to safety, and they go down an alley to get away, only to be stopped by man with needles rumored to have incredibly deadly poison.

so, fight breaks out, and old lady and the psycho guy get into a slowmotion needle throwing fight in the alley way, and the old lady wins. she falls over though, and her dub actress says something along the lines of "i guess granny couldnt catch every one of them." as she had been hit by one, in pain, while in the arms of the kids.

    Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon?

    It's been a while since I watched it, but I'm pretty sure that's the one you described. Plus, it has Yun-Fat Chow in it.

    it's not tony jaa, i know that for sure, its an older 90s movie. im thinking its legend of red dragon, but im not finding the scene im looking for

    the movie you are thinking of is Legend of the Red Dragon. It stars Jet Li.

    In Legend of the Red Dragon, the needle fight is with the seamstress using needles and thread. That's doesn't match with Waffle's description. I'm pretty sure it's Crouching tiger based on the description, but will have to watch the movie again to find the scene.

    ok, so it's not Crouching Tiger. I got to the scene (1:45) and it's not the right one obviously.

    I do know the scene you speak of, but I can't recall the film right now.

    New Legend of Shaolin or Legend of Red Dragon, same movie at about 1:15 into the movie.
