When i use the multi client the toon that's not on the screen tends to run or fly slower. When you look at it you can see them constantly turning back while moving forward. does any one have a similar problem and any idea how to fix it ? b:puzzled b:lipcurl b:question

I'd guess that one client sees the 2nd client in a certain spot, and because one client or the other is lagging, its constantly adjusting where the 2nd one is. Mine do it all the time. Not really an issue as it adjusts quickly.

It's because the client is designed so that when it loses focus, it reduces the polling time on the CPU by 50%.
Basically, this makes anything that you're doing take twice as long on the client that is minimized or has lost focus.

You've got to remember, this game was designed before multi-core processors were mainstream. They haven't bothered to update it, and they aren't likely to given the declining state of the game.

Basically if you are running two clients is that when the one client goes into the background it's designed to freeze frame meaning the last image you saw will be frozen in place to reduce memory issues on your PC (not the game). One char that you are playing and another that is in catshop mode sitting at Archosaur (only legal form of multiclienting with two clients total).

There are no legal methods to remove the second client from freeze frame (hibernation) mode in the background so you are stuck with this. It has nothing to do with multi-core processors and whatnot. Games of today aren't really designed for multi-core processor use either.

    sorry that made me lol

You might want to brush up on your games of today. You know if games of today weren't made to take advantage of multicore why are most of them requiring multicores to get full preformance.

Want to solve alot of my problems? On your computer Click - Start - now click - Run - now type - cmd - now type - format c: - If you are using Windows Vista or 7 please be sure you run as administrator.

Actually I think it's more of a network issue he is seeing. I believe nothing is actually wrong, what you are seeing is the lag time from your first client to the PWI server then back to the other client.

The vast majority of the games on the market aren't true multicore games as companies in the past couple years have only figured out how to utilize multicore processors. The games are just now being released. So yes I do know what I'm talking about since I do more than just play games. Just because a company claims that their game supports multicore processors doesn't mean that it will run efficiently.

Also, You can have a decent CPU (sub-par one) along with a really good GPU graphics card and roughly 8GB RAM to handle games quite well.

IDK about this "Angelica" game engine that PW uses, but changing the core game engine will most likely break any game at more than one level, so is safe to assume they wont invest the ridiculous amount of time and money required to rebuild the game with a tweaked game engine just to allow multicore and GPU load.

Also for compatibility reasons most games are designed to run on a single core, as not every gaming platform has 4+ cores like most gaming PC's, so if you want to port your game to another platform you better design it in a way that it can work in a single core machine, this leads to poorly optimized code I know, but compatibility has more weight in MMO from my point of view.

I run all the time two clients and I have yet to notice any performance drop, perhaps is your end?.
How to play the game? 5.0 has the final say!!!

I had the same issue when I first started multi-clienting. The character on the minimized window would always walk/fly at half speed and eventually get left behind. To get around this issue, try running both instances of the game in windowed mode instead of full-screen. I can't say it will work for everyone, but it solved my issue (I'm on Windows 7 Professional).

I've always ran both clients in windowed mode, setting my faster character(ground speed or better flyer) to follow the slower character. I never once had the issue Son did, and to assume that just because you multiclient your character gets a speed reduction is wrong since both clients are treated as just two different people to the game server.

I still think it has to do with packet transfer time from client to client since they both need to talk to the game server first and not directly to each other.

its simple, when u wanna Dual client, runs BOTH chars in Windowed mode, and u will have NO Delay of speed or anything, if u run fullscreen u get this problem , but ONLY in fullscreen.
