I was wondering if anyone has done some dmg tests in nirvy with g16 +12 daggers - just wanted to know the max/average dmg they can do.

I have a g13 +12 daggers and the best dmg I did was a bit over 70k (with hf, tm, sage ss, devour and amplify dmg).

Was also interested to know an average dmg comparison between g16 and r9 both +12.

    I have r9+12 (2 Garnet Gems).

    Highest I have ever hit in nirv. If i remember correctly was around 300k

    on avg though, its around 12 to 15k dmg per hit

    If r9 +12 does 300k max attack (crit + gof) that means that on crit alone it can do about 150k dmg so max attack without any crits or gof means 75k which is higher that any (crit) dmg that can g13 can do b:faint

    Since g16 is similar to r9 from attack base point of view and has even more attack levels I assume it will do a lot more then 75k non-crits max attacks => it has 10 extra levels and a bit more base dmg so I assume it will be closer to 85k. With crits I guess the max dmg a g16 can do is about 170k.

    Now comparing r9 with g16 on dps:
    - r9 does 4 attacks/s, lets assume all crits (idealized scenario) => gof has a chance of 20% to hit but lets say it will hit 2 out of the 4 attacks so that means 300k+300k+150k+150k =900k/s
    - g16 does 5 attacks/s and the same as before lets assume all crits (idealized scenario) => 170k x 5 = 850k/s

    So r9 seems better but not by that much b:pleased

    No, no no.

    Firstly, the 300,000 damage would be at least 75,000 as you said. However, that has been multiplied by at least 1.6 due to at least 60 attack levels. The easiest way to account for the Attack Level difference would be to give the G16 a multiplier of (1.7/1.6), or 1.0625, due to it having a minimum of 70 attack levels.

    Secondly, you just rounded 20% up to 50%, that's horrible. 4 aps and 5 aps have a common multiple with 100 at 400 and 500, respectively. Doing this makes the calculations easier since all the percentages, e.g. crit, gof, zerkcrit, will be integer rather than decimal.

    Thirdly, both weapons have the same crit rate so that's not really a factor: You could leave the crits out and just give R9 a 1.2 multiplier for the GoFs.

    Now, the R9 gets:
    260 hits at 75,000 each
    28 hits at 300,000 each
    112 hits at 150,000 each
    Total: 400 hits at 44,700,000 or 447,000/s

    The G16 gets:
    325 hits at 79,687.5 each
    175 hits at 159,375 each
    Total: 500 hits at 53,789,062.5 or 537,890/s

    Notes:
    1. I did not account for any difference in DPH, so the real difference is even bigger

    Though, all of this is kinda bollocksy. Firstly, the 300,000 is anecdotal and a maximum number, so it doesn't really reveal anything of value. Secondly, you could simply use PWCalc to count the average DPH of your G13+12 and that of a G16+12, divide the latter by the former and multiply your average DPH by that value to get the figure that you requested.

    Hint: The reason R9 is generally equal to an ideal G15 was because the 30 Attack Levels pretty much makes up for the loss of 1 attack/s. G16 Nirvana does not have this weakness:
    GoF + 30 attack levels + 4 aps -> 6.24 multiplier
    GoF + 0 attack levels + 5 aps -> 6.00 multiplier
    40 Attack Levels + 5 aps -> 7.00 multiplier
