Mouse/Rat smileys

Not sure if anyone else has posted about this but i logged on after the update and my egg head smileys have changed into blue mice smileys. hate to be a bother and stuff but i didnt buy blue mice i bought egg head ones so is anything being done about this or anything?b:surrender

    Your not the only one. It's not only the eggs either, the foxes have now become blue mice as well.

    Looks like wanmei overwritten the egg and fox smiley dds with the new mouse dds...

    See, the emoticons, the smileys, are mere dds files in one of the pck files.
    The client can only recognize emoticon1.dds to emoticon10.dds so that means that if wanmei wants to use a new one when all 10 are there, they have to rewrite over one of them.

    The funny thing is that wanmei only has like 7 there so they rewrite over them for no reason. They could have some of the older ones there too but no... Gotta have mice all over the place. b:laugh

    Kind of the same thing they keep doing with the music files. It's almost like they refuse to base the the newest patch they are developing on the previous one. Which would lead to a lot of the crappy little issues that pop up like this.

    Tested this out; Foxy Smileys are still appearing correctly for me, are you sure they got replaced for you?


    As for the Eggheads, we're working on a fix for it now!

    More like "should be fixed and in queue for next patch"

    Replace emoticons in the files is basic entry level stuff.

    I could easily do it in under 30 seconds check it out:

    1. Find old egg smiley emoticon3.dds and emoticon3.txt
    2. Place it over the mouse smileys that currently take that spot
    3. Rename the mouse smileys to emoticon7.dds and emoticon7.txt since you guys aren't even using that slot and it wouldn't rewrite the old ones
    4. Change the path way in elements.data so that the mouse smileys use emoticon7.dds and emoticon7.txt

    Tell wanmei to step it up cause I work this faster than they can. b:surrender

    Guys, stop freaking out... The eggs hatched is all.

    Japanese eggs hatch into little yellow mice and squirrel-turtle things and plants, so why can't the Chinese eggs hatch into blue mice? =D

    Wasn't me that got that glitch with the foxes it was a friend. And it was only happening for a few people I had heard. Wish I had a screenie for you, but I didn't think much of it at the time.

    At least last time I checked they were, could've changed.

    It sure would be nice of Wanmei to increase the number of smiley slots with their handy dandy source so they wouldn't have to rewrite over smileys... b:lipcurl

    I personally love the mouse smiley, but i can understand that some people bought eggs/fox cause they wanted eggs/fox and got mouse.

    They should add mouse and put back the eggs/fox as they was.
