connecting to game through hotel firewall

Looking to be able to connect to the game through the firewall in the hotel I am staying at. Getting them to open ports isnt an option, so dont try that...

If anyone has a work around I can do myself without help of their tech department, I'll give you some gold (probably 20) on the server of your choice, might be a bit more if its in HT since thats where I actually play.

    that sounds very weird i have been on allot of hotels with work and i have never had problem with a firewall blocking the game , i know you don't want to talk to the hotel tech guy but i would give it a try

    I want to a hotel and the game was working fine without need to change anything.

    Don't know why it is, it's a casino hotel so that might have something to do with the crazy restricted Internet. Theyd rather I be down gambling that in my room gaming haha. Contacting their help desk IS NOT an option, I've tried before, gets no where

    have you tried this? http://www.proxifier.com/
    it can bypass firewall restriction on some ports by tunneling the connection to a http port (if i'm not wrong)

    There maybe 3 ways of doing it:

    1. Get a 'software-based proxy'
    It will direct all your internet traffic through an external proxy server. I've never tried that on hotel firewall, but I use usually it to bypass certain 'Country IP blocks' and others. It may or may not work depending on how the hotel firewall was built. Those software are readily available and downloadable. Freewares may run very slow (too laggy to run an instance). Purchased software will run more smoothly but I don't think it will be worth it for a one-time usage.

    2. Play at a local internet cafe.
    You can copy whole game folder on an portable harddisk and plug it into any decent PC at any local internet cafe/library/friend house. Run element client to play the game. The only requirement would be that the other PC has the minimum hardware/software requirement to run the game and it is also recommended that you update the launcher with the latest patch before copying onto the harddisk.

    3. Go find the hotel tech support (or a computer geek), and give him some cash (and or weed)b:pleased

    hotels have firewalls now?

    lol 5 bucks says their router is not passworded just access it once you are logged into their net and change the router settings b:chuckle
