So I'm curious... What are your reasons for still playing?

These are my reasons:

1) GW number 2 isn't out yet
2) I wanted to try the Morai and new PVE/Quests
3)Say hi to old friends

My reasons for wanting to quit:

1)No endgame
2)Client crashes every time I enter a city
2)Pvp is terrible
3)Cashshop = win

I just don't understand people who spend $1000+ on Rank 9. What's the point in it? LOL

-Endless character customisation and fashion combos
-The graphics are stunning
- Generally active factions are fun to be in. Endless humour xD
-Newer dungeons give more of a challenge
-The storys in the quest are really intetesting if you bother to read them.
- The ability to fly means great screenshot opportunities.

I just generally like this game. Despite its flaws.

They spend 1000s of dollars on rank 9 because they have the disposable income and enjoy the game. I mean, I don't like rank is in the cash shop either. But kinda sick of all the same QQ day after day, year after year. If I were a rich a thousand dollars to me would probably be same as 30 dollar is to me right now. And if that were the case I'd spend my entertainment budget on whatever I enjoyed.

I'm starting to think the people who makes these kinds of threads have bigger egos than the cash shoppers. What other explanation is there for someone who feels as though if they don't find it fun, nobody else is allowed to like it.

I don't know... I don't really like game at all and the people here are screwed up, especially when they keep posting female toons but attacking people posting male toons on this forum. I don't even want to log on anymore because they look so boring.

It's a good distraction, lots of friends here. No real reason for me to not play, I'm a casual player that doesn't care about how much people cash shop and the tribulations of other people don't seem to bug me in my little game bubble.

I am not just still playing, but I have just come back to PWI about 5 weeks ago because:

- Tian Yi Jue has a horrible team bug that doesn't let me play with my friends in a pre-made team.
- Realm of the Titans (Tian Yi Jue English version) got shut down permanently before it even reached the open beta stage, and sadly, I don't like the other MOBA games because I don't like the look of the female heroes (yes, including the new-and-sexy Mirana) on the other MOBA games (LoL, HoN, Dota 2, and so on).
- Lime Odyssey has been delayed endlessly, without any ETA until now.
- My computer can't run the new GW at maximum resolution due to insufficient RAM.

And, of course, this game is still fun for me because:
- There are so many beautiful, cute and/or elegant outfits here. I don't mind wasting my money on those. **** R9 and all the OP items in cash shop. Beautiful clothes FTW~ b:victory
- There are cute pets.
- The world chat in the game is still full of silly, funny and dramatic people, just like 3.5 years ago. A free entertainment for me lol
- Decent graphic.

My other reasons for still playing:
- Killing time
- Want to at least hit 101 on Silvy
- It's become less lonely than the past year
- My faction and my few precious friends (though I'm trying to convince them to switch games soon)

Reasons to quit:
- It's sheer impossible to find a squad for anything 'sides FCC, BH etc. because no one likes random squads

Nah, I don't like playing under non-maximum resolution, especially in PvP.

The only thing I like from GW is the team battle PvP.
With a crappy resolution, I will just become an epic feeder for my team due to keep dying for not being able to see clearly all the fine ammo being shot at me....

Besides, the minimum requirement is i3, and my 5-year-old computer only has Quad core, not even Quad core duo.

I won't upgrade my computer until I'm done paying off my 2012 Prius & student loan b:chuckle

Not even sure about my PC's specs, but i always play MMO's on minimum settings. I think i even have the viewing distance in PWI on 25 meters or something.

It works perfectly fine. You're just a "graphics prostitute".

Most MMORPGs existing currently don't require high "minimum requirements"
Only a few recent ones do.

Also, did you not read that I said my processor did not even meet the minimum requirement?
It's more than just a graphic issue.

Playing it at the lowest resolution won't help if the processor and the RAM I have don't even meet the minimum requirements.
If I try to force my computer to play 2nd GW, eventually, some components in my computer will melt....and I don't want that to happen.

2. I haven't done anything end-game yet
3. Leading a faction and trying to get it ran decently
4. I actually like this game... because I got into powertrading/merching right away and I have no gear issues so far.
5. Plus I still feel useful around. XD

I still enjoy the game because i'm playing it for the friends I have. The people make an MMO fun for me, not the game per se. If I want to have fun by myself I'll go play my PS2 RPGs :P

Sometimes when it's boring it's just nice to make a few quest and have fun.
I don't have any friend who play this game so it's little bit lonely. I love my characters and love to play. So i don't think I need nothing else.

Hm.. the reasons I still play...
1. the people, in faction, friends.
2. Customization, I just enjoy fooling around with it.
3. I enjoy running instances with friends
4. I wanna hit 10k hp base >_>"
5. I still enjoy playing, though not as long anymore as I used to like it.
6. That game about Guilds and Wars isn't out yet x: though I'll prolly keep logging into pwi every now and then for things like trials and to chat a bit with people.

reasons I'm starting to dislike this game:
1. Gamble. EVERYTHING. is gamble, even getting my sage/demon skills is.
2. hyperleveld people who make instances seem a lot more complicated than they are. Then rage how fail the squad is.
3. You get emptyhanded out of most instances.
4. The current imbalance of pvp
5. the fact that it's getting pretty damn hard to find a normal squad nowadays of people who just... know what they're doing, who make mistakes, but are able to laugh it off.
The community has changed a lot. People raging when they die or someone makes a mistake and agroes too many mobs. At a certain point it starts getting on your nerves...

To be honest with my answer.
After year or so i got back after a long hiatus from this game and not really sure i know a decent reason(probably wanted to see how this game "progressed").

Reasons that keep me a little longer here

1)Few friends left that still play this game
2)Some decent time-killing dailies

Reasons that could make me quit

1)Major player base attitude towards gear and/or APS "philosophy"
2)Lack of any interest in making improvements(other than making it more or less even worse)
3)Duke and his repugnant blabbering about anniversary pack content being obtained
4)Most players being **** towards classes and/or skills(first game i actually see someone asking for specific skills to be used regardless of the reasons)
5)People who control the economy of this game even tho most of them got no clue how it works(best example is selling game drops for outraged prices even tho those are pretty much common)

That should be enough..even tho the list is long b:lipcurl
