So I known there's a pack simulator and a refining simulator -- but I was wondering if some of the forum guru's ever made a damage calculator thing.

Like If I have 1000 min-max damage and ## attack levels and Im level ### how much I would deal against X mob with X defence etc etc etc?
The only way to beat a troll is....to troll him back b:angry

    if (attack level < defense level) then:

    damage taken = { damage delivered / ( 1 + (1.2 * ({ defense level } - { attack level }) / 100 ) ) }


    base damage = attack multiplier * weapon attack

    weapon attack = attack from weapon + attack from shards in weapon + attack from rings and other equipment + character level

    Daggers and ranged weapons:

    attack multiplier = 1 + ( Dex / 150 ) + weapon mastery + physical attack buffs

    Melee weapons:

    attack multiplier = 1 + ( Str / 150 ) + weapon mastery + physical attack buffs

    Magic weapons:

    attack multiplier = 1 + ( Mag / 100 ) + magical attack buffs


    In PvP all damage is reduced by 75% (corresponding to a damage multiplier of 25%). This does not apply to some attacks from venomancer pets.

    Damage is something thats random it isnt something that can be calculated to be certain of things, something that all excel & calculator nerds in here needs to learn. its the same to calculate how many bones you break if you drive between 30 - 150 km/h with a car and calculate how many bones you break....

    Something that cannot be done since some die at 30 km/h and break like 15 bones in your body. and some ppl walk out of a crash after hitting something in 100 km/h with just a bruise on your arm.

    Theory that you make up can never become the practical. Best i would say is to try it out yourself insted of spending time in excel or ask ppl who got the gear that you are after and ask how they do and learn from their experience.

    The only random thing on damage calculation its the actual damage you'll deal based on your min-max
    (like 1200 - 1500),the rest its static calculations.

    Proof?,unequip your weapon and hit a mob -- you'll deal the excact same damage every time(Aside from criticals)

    Its NOWHERE near as complicated as calculating how many bones you'll break on a car accident -- lol.

    < 3 100%
    3 - 5 90%
    6 - 8 80%
    9 - 11 70%
    12 - 15 60%
    16 - 20 50%
    > 20 25%

    Slapped together a spreadsheet with the most basic calculations in a few minutes.

    Don't touch the yellow cells, those are the output.
    It only works for PvE damage.

    ''Atk.'' can be either magic or physical, but also pick enemy def. accordingly.

    P.S. you need to download it before it can be used.

    Thanks but I see that based on enemy Defence my damage can be cut down to 100% while I think the max cap its 90% from raw defense alone.

    It would be cool also to have a "Damage Taken" calculator other than a "Damage Dealt" one.

    Not sure if there is such a cap, but chances are that if a monster has such defenses you shouldn't be attacking it anyway b:chuckle

    Damage Taken can be added, I suppose.

    uhm well I played a bit with PWI calc and it says with this char here(<-- note:buddha guard/physical alter on) you have a 98% physical damage reduction(lmao)I thought 90% was the max.
