Ive been trying to find a pet to use at my level because i kinda fell out with my other pets and stopped using them and now im kinda screwed on my pet choices. I dont really want to level one up all the way to my level and i leveled up my Tabby Plumdrop to 50 or so. My question is, is the pet one worth keeping? Will it do decent damage and keep aggro and all that? Cause i dont wanna waste my time and i love how it looks. Help me? b:sad

Not sure how the Tabby Plumdrop is at certain levels since I have yet to capture one but I know where you can find some pets about your level. I can actually provide you with a link so you can get the coords. Sorry if I wasn't very helpful or helped you with what you was asking.
Link: Pets for level 46 to level 600 -
I have all the rare pets (as part for my collection)
Tabby just like Cuddly pup are cute belovable pets that however are mediocre compared to the standards of other pets. However they do have some uses.
They have nice speed , and come with aggro skills paired with debuff skills. Cuddly pup has threaten but tabby has both def debuffs.
Their attack is ok , not like a wanderer scorpion or hatchling. They wont keep aggro , but can pull of ok dmg while debuffing.
their defences and HP is ok , but they cant tank , just survive any bad hits or non lethal AoEs
They can lure effectively , support , and are good for doing quests or in cases you dont mind being hitten either due to lvl difference or superior gear)
No it doesnt worth lvling them to 100 when other pets are around , but they have their uses and maxing them is a ncie way to spend your time while moneymaking or squad killing random things with friends. They are flashy pets , used for entertainment and leisure , but imo , nice to have.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

{That TT xbow chain is one that describes someone's bowel movements after having too much spicy food. A loud **** (Thundercrack), then a burning sensation (Flash Fire), followed by an explosion of multi-colored poo-confetti (Blinding Radiance). Excellent...} By Quilue0 -
I love my tabby, but he's not my end all be all pet. The pet leveling system is pretty out of date now that everyone levels so very quickly.
I do like to use my tabby in bh though, since I have Roar on mine and I use it to grab aggro from single mobs that go after the squishier folk in my squads. My tabby has no problem tanking single mobs in bh51, and he's useful for pulls because of his speed. I rarely use him when I solo grind though unless it's for fun, since my walker does much more damage and has more def.
For the pet leveling issue, have you ever tried going to the cube of fate? There's a room there, room 4 (roll a 3 on the die), full of level 150 mobs that die in one hit and don't hit very hard. It's the BEST place to level your pets at your level.
Just talk to the nearest Adventure assistant, and ask to enter the Cube. You'll need a duty badge first, which is a once a day grant. Also bring a little coin and get some dice tickets. With luck, you'll get to room 4 on your first try. If not, get to a room where you'll die (no exp loss in cube, don't worry), and try again. ^^
For air pets the level 100 Staunch Worms just outside City of the Raging Tides are great for leveling on.
Hope that info was helpful ^^[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I frequently test builds/pets, even to the extremes. b:victory

This is the main problem. Before it was very doable to keep 2 or 3 pets at the same lvl as yourself, but now even 1 pet slacks behind fast. It pushes venos to select 1 efficient pet, which is a bit a pitty imo.
I mostly agree with Phoenix. Tabby is not a bad pet, but it doesn't excel in anything except looking cute. For pure DD there are better choices, for tanking there are better choices and for luring there are also better choices. So even if they are nice, they won't be that efficient 1-go-for-all pet to focus lvling on.
If you really like a tabby for the looks and use it all/most of the time, there is the option to pimp it by learning some of the legendary skills. This takes quite some coins or a lot of luck in dragon temple, so up to you if you think it's worth it. You could, for instance teach it claw and/or strong (or maybe get the base counterparts). With those, tabby won't match a herc or a better pet with the same skills. But it will become a good all-round pet you can use everywhere. It's up to you if the looks are worth that kind of investment. On Sanctuary, the skills tend to be around 25~30mil each.0 -
