I cannot find a solid answer to this question.
If there is a 83-93 frost bigroom and one person is 94, then who gets nerfed? How much?
Does the higher lvl suck up exp and lowest loses? How is the nerf spread exactly?

While it is fresh in my memory this is what we did yesterday.

most chars 95-98, Cleric 99 and Sin 92. Not sure how we ended up with the 99 Cleric but anyway.

I was on my 97 seeker and for heads got 10900ish xp per head. The 92 sin said he was getting just over 20. I didnt ask what the 99 Cleric was getting.

Yes the highest lvl sucks up all the exp. I don't play anymore so i can't test. Even 1 lvl higher will get a lot more ex at the end of the run than the 1 lvl lower got.

I'm not exactly sure how much exp gets nerfed but yea, chars in a squad need to be within a range of 10 levels or the exp will get nerfed. Most mobs in FCC are lvl88 so any player above lvl98 will change the exp gain despite them being within 10 levels of the lowest lvl in the squad.

A while back, a few of us got together and worked up a calculator so you could figure it out.

You can punch in your levels and it will show what your exp gain will be.

Anyone who is 11 levels or higher than the lowest member, the lowest member will get nerfed. So in your example, if you have a 94 char and an 83 char in the same squad, the 83 will get nerfed.

The same goes for the whole party when someone is 11 levels or higher than the mobs in the instance. That's why there are only FCs that are run between 85-98, and then 99+. All the mobs (excluding bosses) are level 88 in the FC instance, so level 99 makes the character 11 or more levels higher than the mobs, which nerfs exp by quite a bit.

From there 15 levels or higher adds another nerf on top of the 99 one. That means any players that hit 103 or higher will nerf the experience for the entire part even more. And from what I have experienced, it's about a 60% exp nerf from the 99 exp nerf.

TL;DR: As long as the character is not 99, and the highest level character in the party is 11 levels or more higher than the lowest level in the party, then the people that are 11 levels or lower than the highest will get nerfed, while the rest of the party is not.

If any character in the squad is 99-102, the experience will get nerfed for the entire party, regardless of levels.

If any character in the squad is 103+, the experience is nerfed even more than the 99-102, for the entire party.

You can learn more about it here.

A 99 kills the XP for the rest.

Keep a high end squad 89-98.

99s need to run with the 100s and 101s.

Did you ever update your formulas for the 20 level spread and up (you get no exp bonus)?
