WTB Blacklist Extension Stone

Blocking needs more power. Like not being able to join squads, trade, etc.

I agree with you, i could not even say how many people can be BL, from what i heard people can BL 30 persons which i think is enough or like you said if someone need more it's probably cause the person have a problem.

If someone annoy me i just let know the person i BL, than i BL, than after a few day i clear my BL and i never had problem with that system and never needed more than 5 spaces of my BL.

I think I have used it only once or twice, and that was for someone who kept spamming a scam site. I agree with the need for a thicker skin... Lord knows I could use one at times lol

I only use my blacklist for drop thieves and scammers. Everyone else doesn't earn a permanent place on my blacklist. Even WC spammers. They can be annoying sometimes but I'd rather know how often my message is being pushed out of world chat if I need to use it, then block a random world chat spammer. I don't block everyone I disagree with. I'm perfectly capable of being around people I do not like.

Until you manage to come up with a blacklist for real life use, I think it should be disabled entirely. Grow up and deal with it, you can't censor life to your pleasing.

As for the telemarketer thing, ex directory and not being stupid enough to join companies that sell your details will work wonders. Plus, teasing the 3 telemarketers that have called my house in the last 10.5 months was ****ing hilarious.

You should count yourself lucky from telemarketers from where you live. Other places have a far bigger issue with this problem and even removing your number from public listings is not a solution.

This is a necro, but i think River brings up a valid point. If friend lists can be extended have a higher limit, why can't we apply it for the same reason for black list? Personally i would find it super useful if i could create groups in my block list to put people there and remember why i put them there. I block people for two main reasons, they scam (biggest reason), or that person was totally and utterly fail on a run (the new reason).

Most people seem to be under the impression that we all solo this game. Some of us prefer to play this game and enjoy it by playing with other players, new ones. To decrease negative impact on playing brought by scammers in tt, vana, warsong, lunar, a longer block list will be appreciated to that effect.

Due to having people being incapable of reading squad chat, following simply instructions, doing one thing only (running up to mobs and promptly dying each time or to the boss), causing squad wipes, forcing people to go down the wrong valley in lunar. Such people do exist in this game, i know they are part of the package when i play with different people, but i want to have tools in my hand to be able to block them.

Four days ago, i was in a squad with a sin. The sin was on my block list, a recent entry. It took me a few seconds to realise why i blocked this person. We were doing aba, the sin died at the first mob, the sin died at the poison mob. When the cleric entered and rezzed the sin, the sin practically died at each mob set. Since the other 4 people in squad were sins and his friend, i left the squad. A simple run was being botched up, to save my nerves i would prefer to never squad with these people.

There are also some people who will run PQ with you but when it comes to do the boss, they will drop squad, hoping to get better rewards. In such situations, i let agro shift to such people, and tell the clerics in my squads not to rez them. Is it really that hard for a sin to get 6 crystals by staying in squad, because you are the only sin/archer around? No one is going to steal away your constribution, but people don't seem to understand that.

Having a longer block list would help, and if the added feature of grouping people under different groups could be added, that would be a major help to most of us. I hope this topic is taken seriously and not cried about being a necro, if need be, can be moved to a new topic.

@telemarketing issues man #2:
Change your phone number and start over. There's no reason they can get your number unless you give it to companies who will sell it. Anyone randomly finding your number using an autodailer is committing a crime last I checked too. Plus, "**** off" and hanging up works wonders to make them **** off. They do get the message after a while.
