a good step for devs to take for character editing

Okay. So most of us see players running around bigger and even smaller than what the sliders allow. Personally I believe that the sliders should give said effects and to even have all hair styles unlocked for the male and female players (including barbs). As far as I know the rule states that editing game files is an illegal offense that is bannable, but as many more players are discovering this, this should urge in the devs to allow MAX and MIN body sizes, all hair styles with barbs included, a true RGB color table so we can have absolute colors instead of indirect colors, all styles of eyes, and so fourth. This would favor the many who wish to have their character the way they wish and will also keep people out of the game system files as everything would be changeable in-game. I hope this suggestion will become a reality, but one never knows if or even when it would happen.

    we are a "disconnected" version of PW. we still get offical patches and everything from china but we are basicly a stand-alone version. if china had direct control of the game flow and everything for the american (international) version, we would likely have all the abilities that the CN version does.

    For stuff like wedding female/female male/male ect... they say they can't allow that cause in China it's not allowed and blabla mythology and stuff, but for the stuff they allow in the Chinese version they don't want to allow it here.

    that is true. hence why we are considered outcasts in a way. the overall game structure for us is american based with the game patches coming from china but with "relaxed rules" which are maintained by the GM's and devs who work with the patches. so in all regard, devs can openly modify the patches before applying them to do entire changes and the chinese would never have any clue since we dont connect to a chinese system. so all in all, the devs can do as they wish and change the rules as they please. but its a thing that we shall see what goes. if we can get our way, great, if not, we just have to deal with things as they are. i for one have never file modded nor do i plan to, i just enjoy the PVE aspect of our wonderful server and of course watch some good PVP battles b:laugh

    I would go for that, but then what makes the European servers so special? The recieve the same patches/updates and sales as the American servers. They are, in essence, the same exact version as the American servers. The difference is, they are allowed to edit their characters, without penalty.

    It is a lovely, almost 100 page thread that has been bumped for over a year. I can honestly say, I'd much rather have the freedom to do what I want with my character, than to be stuck with presets(or extended arm/bust/waist/etc sliders).

    As far as we know(or think we know...), the Admin team is looking into changing the ToS to allow cosmetic .ini edits. Help us out and bump our thread, instead! b:surrender
