Archer or Venomancer?

New Perfect World Player Here,

I was wondering what is better for a PvP Server Archer or Venomancer I love to PvP, but also love to PvE so I'd be doing both.

    Archer only look good/act good at higher lvls 95+ once they get better gear etc.

    Venos are hard to maintain in PvP due to some are realy squishy but are able to pack a punch.

    it would depend on your playing style..

    Edit: PvE wise i would go for a veno due to you can use your pet as a distraction while collecting matts.

    PvE on an archer, i never liked when i played mine.

    PWI is a game all about gear. Class choice is pretty irrelevant. Roll whatever class you want, get full rank9/rank 9 recast, /faceroll keyboard, win. b:bye

    the gear he/she is talking about cost around 2000.00 USD and you still need to get the refines and shard it. pwi is so broken that with some cash (or non cash at all) you will lvl enought to use it in a month and know **** about your class.

    If you don't have a LOT of time to farm/merch for the gear (which is irrelevant cause the game is going to be dead by the time you get there) or the cash to buy it you wont be able to pvp that much.

    Town Wars are still a bit fun for low geared people tho.

    Archers aren't very wanted for much pve wise. They don't get into Nirvana squads easy (and lack ability to get BP). Veno gets in either Nirvana fairly easy. Archers used to be wanted for BH Aba, and Metal, but now they fixed those. Archers have a bad habit in general of pissing off melee in PvE by pulling mobs away when the melee erupt making veno more melee friendly. They end up causing some bosses like Peach Blossom Ritualist to repeat AoE which can cause squad wipe.

    way too familiar in this scenario. some r8 archers in my fac pull out their mangiest hi level veno alts during x2 (LA build, HA build...LOL, hoarbags)

    I use my 104 HA veno in PvP pretty well but i don't play her anymore. I play on my new HA veno on Archosaur server.

    PvP on a veno takes time to get use to on what you need to do to win the fight. and practice like all classes

    When you've got full rank 9 +12 it doesn't matter what class you are. Rank 9 archers can solo BH aba and SoT. They can also solo BH metal. And would you really turn down a rank 9 archer for a nirvana squad?

    Broken gear is broken. Class doesn't matter with broken gear.

    Also, no one kills peachblossom anymore, unless they're doing an FB99 or farming for books.

    Broken gear is broken. Class doesn't matter with broken gear.

    Just take a good look at wc now, no wc squad will ever take any aps except bm,5 aps sin, level 11 subsea sin, hi refine wep sin, r9 sin, gof dagger sin....well you get my point hopefully. Then throw in the eye candy debuff pup

    Lol, just remembered last 2x when I was trying to get rid of stacks of keys. Made the mistake of adding a second archer and w/o even looking at their equips; people were dropping from squad.

    I recommend to make Venomancer first. After some hours, try different class if she doesn't suit you well. Why? Because you will learn about aggro mechanic later (heal, tank, dd, at the same time). She is also the best solo pve class, especially at lower level.

    We talk about early-game, don't we?

    I have a feeling that the original poster left already, but I'll still make something clear: not everyone plays this game to get to level 105 and do FF and Nirvana runs. I never plan on doing those, in fact, I have stopped leveling altogether since at this level it's almost impossible to level without doing some runs in a squad. And since I don't like that, the game is pretty much finished for me. I still play on my alts however, since I like doing quests and finding new friends in the process.

    So my advice would be, make an archer for PvP or a veno for PvE. But only if you plan on leveling up by doing quest and the usual. If you're just planning to hit 100 in a week then my suggestion would be not to play at all.

    Wrong. Archer, low to mid level archer is the best PvP class, simply due to range for one. Around L90 all classes start catching up, and now its the gear that matters the most.

    Until you get stun locked by a sin or BM.

    There is no low lvl PVP , and most mid-lvls are spent in instances and FF.
