Dead Game?

I recently logged onto the harshlands server and noticed something peculiar, and found myself asking a question over and over again. "Where have all the low levels gone?!" I've came across but 10 people under level 70. Everyone else is level 80+ it seems. I feel like I'm playing a private server, these hyper stones have effectively killed the game in my opinion. Yes i can buy some and be like the 10,000 other level 100's, but where is the fun in that. I miss the game where it took weeks to reach level 60. Months to reach level 100. Is this only in the harshlands server, or are all the servers this depressing?

    Eh the game is slowly dieing we all saw this coming lol plus nobody spends anytime at low levels anymore the'd rather power lvl themselves demon or sage which in MY opinion is just plain boring but w/e

    Maybe you don't see many new players because the people who have been playing for years have also been telling everyone they know it's a dead game? How about if you like the game tell your friends you do. If you don't like the game shut up and go away?

    And don't worry about PWE's financial state. PWRD has something like 200m USD in cash reserves. Lot's of money.

    Dead Game has been said since 2008. SOMEDAY, they will be right. Until then go on about playing your game. THe forums have not even a drop in the bucket as to the amount of people that actually play this game.

    As for Aug 28th, LAWL to that. Other games will live on just because a new one comes out doesn't kill other games. How many times have people said such and such game will be the killer of the WoW? .. Hmmm? Yeah thought so...

    Game is NOT dead when servers are shut down. The game is DEAD, when no support for players from GM, when, no new players coming to the game, when TOS mean nothing.
    This game is pretty much dead right now. Of course there will be always some players to playing to server shut down. But today population is maybe 20% from population from 1 year from beginning. Today every has multiple characters and catshoping on many accounts. But real players are much less than used to be.

    Servers -not shut down. GM still support players (as rarely as ever), new players L&R -just have to be in a faction that recruits them to see it, TOS is being qq'd about tonight.

    Show me source for "20% from population from 1 year from beginning" or gtfo.

    A certain SE game was hammered by a certain blizzard game, PWI, a certain sega online game, and many others, but it is still alive after 9 years, and still with a lot of players, and still getting updates. Give me a break. PWI isn't going anywhere, and if it were really bad, we wouldn't be getting hardly any updates, and there'd be a merge already.

    Compared to a certain nc(not sure if its allowed to name other companies) game, Perfect World is doing fantastic. They have to merge their servers almost a year after a release, and mind you this is a WORLD PVP(PVE is stricted to instances) game with, at the time, NO CASH SHOP(well even now, you can't really call it that).

    Yes old game is old, with old outdated engine, but the game is doing fine when you look at all the other stupid issues the bigger MMO companies are going through.

    I'm pretty sure R9 3rd recast killed it.

    I never cash shopped and the moment I saw how relatively easy 2nd and 3rd recast r9 were compared to the initial r9 still being $1500 or whatever it was, it was kind of a clear message of "if you don't CS then gtfo."

    So I did.

    And I love even more when they say that some other game release will kill this game. Yeah, people were saying that for "Dthree" too, but now they have massive inflation, massive bugs, and massive way of spending thousands of dollars in game.

    And for all of you who had "quit" playing PWI, but still come back to write on forums, don't worry, we'll be here to welcome you back, when that August 28th game is replaced, and PWI is still alive and kicking. b:victory

    Just the natural shift of majority of toons from some areas to other areas. Thr first year or two of the game of course the training and low level areas were more active than these days, and we also had new classes in Tide and EG to...all these populations have generally matured over to new places such as Nirvana, FCC, Morai etc.

    I do still see some new guys in the training areas even now...albeit a few. I think a much more better way of gauging the game is to look at Archo...and mostly at West Archo..the one place thats always held a lot of toons. Seems to me its just as crowded and laggy as it ever was.

    Death and dying are words that is in an individuals mind, and reliant on that persons view of the game from his own personal experience. In my opinion the games alive and well and has much more to come for PW lovers for years to come...if its dead or dying in your own eyes then you likely are not looking in the right places...or just your love of PW is cooling down.

    PW doesn't seem to be knocking on death's door to me. I log in and 15 to 20 people are online in my faction, and faction chat is streaming faster than I can keep up with, it seems alive and well. I also don't care about quick levelling, cat shoppers, FC, hypers, etc. They don't affect my game enjoyment. I dont worry about what others are doing. I just play the game the way I enjoy it.

    Also, I had to chuckle regarding using the expression "R9 players are gods"...they are just pixels on a screen with someone at a computer tapping keys on a keyboard like everyone else.

    People that keep feeding money to the company is something you hate? Kind of skewed isn't it? If people didn't pay for things in the game, then you do realize there would be no game, or there would be a subscription fee, right? It is a F2P game, and you don't have to spend a dime to play, but why complain about people that do spend money on it?

    This I will agree with. The only thing wrong with this game was when PWE decided to stick end-game content into the cash shop. That is what ruined this game. It's not dead and I still enjoy playing it sometimes with friends and stuff. But this game isn't close to what it used to be sadly.

    This game has been "dead" for over 2 years and nothing has changed. Get over yourself.

    meh the game was fine with sins around it wasn't untill you got 100 atk and def level players that it became truly impossible to kill someone and that the game became broken, and IK you deny getting 105 by gooning lol most do but thats complete bull**** no one was even 104 untill the glitch was around im sure if you could just get it legit there would have being much more 103+ people around (btw Ik there were 104s etc before gooning became popular just means they didnt blab about it.) For a gooned 105 archer I dont deny that pwi would seem fine lol. Nojellybrahjustsayinguneedarealitycheck.
