Wow like seriously this is UNBELIEVABLE, i was just refining some gear and i switch between gear for good luck, and luck what happened with only mirage...

but seriously I have THE worst luck with refining.. often having to use 200-300 mirages for +3... I reset it back to no refine with the next mirage and I was SO p*&^%* off that it was on that piece of useless gear than on something useful... but yeah.

    My pondering is why they're refining a plain lvl11 piece of gear when they should be using TT/Mold gear o.o

    even switching between gear to try for better luck, I would use Leg or TT gear rather than some **** drop I had laying around...

    Reading your post doesn't change that fact, and it's very likely that they completely read and understood your post before commenting.

    you guys really dont understand... it doesnt matter what gear i use :S i get 4-5 fails in a row with the useless gear and then refine the good gear and it works almost every time up to +6 or +7... it really couldnt matter less what gear i use...

    This is the 2nd post within a week where someone says they got high refines with only mirages on junk gear. I smell more BS.

    @OP: I agree with the rest. use mold gear, to switch if you really want to. Something that also has value and can at least be used to sell.

    It does matter though because if you get lucky with the refines like you just did it greatly changes it's resell value. Even getting some cheap mold and +3ing it and selling it for like 100k more than the unrefined version is more likely to allow you to get some of your coin back then using some junk nobody is going to want to use even at +10.

    Not BS at all.

    There may be a tier system in transfer percentage for lower grade items. It's never been found in the code, but an awful lot of people have had great success refining low level gear to high refines using just mirages...

    Well supposedly low level gear has a higher refine rate than high level gear....
    But with this, the OP is swapping out high level **** with high level good gear....
    I'll have to dig around and see if I can find refine % formula or rates in the code somewhere when I have some real free time.

    Oh you don't really need to do that. But yeah, gear level does seem to play a factor in refine chances... I was just saying the "I call BS" is BS. :D

    If you do let us know. I've long had this crazy superstition that it's easier to refine crappier gear even if it is the same level. Like NPC gear has one refine rate and mold gear has another one.

    I am a cser. +10 hh90 is worth like 50mil... thats not much lol so i really couldnt care less... ive used that piece of gear to refine other gear for like 3 months so i was bound to get good refine on it eventually... and to the one who was saying i was wasting mirages, +10 is 100k lol i realllllllllly dgaf about 100k

    yeah about a +10 piece of gear from mirage lol the chances are somewhat near impossible so i thought id show that its ironic i got it on that piece of gear lol... just a fun thread stop being so serious

    Just for the record, the only reason I originally posted in this thread was because of you incorrectly bashing another forum member, and to make their statement more clearly.

    A normal human being would have responded appropriately, apologizing for this mis-speak, and the thread goes on. But you didn't do this, and because your statements have little grounds with reality, the forum trolls jump in on top of you.

Sure I've trolled a few times for fun and to be silly, but I seriously doubt it would account for even 50 of my over 3.000 posts to date.

    I will continue looking into the refining changes simply because it is an interesting topic, it is something I have thought about before, and because this thread has sparked enough interest for me to actually spend time looking into it over the many other things that I do every day.

    As for your posts however XSINNERX, you are now added to my blacklist, and god forbid you should ever require assistance in the tech support forum from me.

    So for the OP, grow up and get a life, for the rest that care, I'll be combing through my server files over the next few days in my free time.
