Magic Rings instead?

Now I CBA to do a search for this in the sin subs so it may have been addressed already.

Sins are squishy as hell. We can all agree on that. My question is a simple one.

Would you / Do you think sacrificing 200~300 physical attack from your rings would be worth the following.

60% evasion and +~1k mdef total at +10 refining.

I do not play a sin in PvP for my own reasons, so this was just me speculating. I personally wouldn't mind losing a little bit of damage for a greater survivability.

Now to each their own. This would be my theoretical PvP build for a Sin, assuming its end game with what you want with somewhat of a realistic chance for sins to get. (Not including the unrealistic odds of R8r in this or r9 daggers)

Give your opinions on THIS and why you think I'm being silly. Or if you are curious why I thought of those particular rings.

Versus melee-specific classes it might be nice to have all that evasion, but if anything the CoA ring would be a better choice because not only would it give more crit and vit, it also gives 100 p attack, a good bit of dex, and refines at one grade higher in m def.

Otherwise magic-ring-only-speaking, Cloud Stir would be a better choice for more crit, attack levels, and a much higher refine rate.

    That's just my opinion though.

I guess I'm looking at Group PvP / TW. I selected that ring knowing the grade is lower (and yes there are better options like the cloud stir as you suggested). I guess I always wondered if all that stacked evasion would be helpful. Barbs and Bm would almost never be able to touch you, and sins and archers would only have about a 60% chance of hitting you. I selected the mdef shards because magic can never miss and the grade was too low for JoSD.

But I'll wait and see what others say as well ;p

That might be true, but there are some barb/BM skills that never miss D:

Meh, assuming they know its 100% accuracy and know what they are doing.

    Barbs

    Flesh Ream
    Sage Bestial Onslaught
    Mighty Swing

So unless you're fighting a sage barb they really only have 1 since Ream isn't that nasty of an attack.

    BMs

Magic Bane ( Do BM's even use this?)
Demon Roar - Only a stun

So I would say that's debatable for a reason not to have the evasion.

The new BM skills never miss. This includes Blade Hurl and Blade Nado.

Not too sure about the one that they can use when they're under 40% hp, but I do know the top 2 have 100% accuracy, and with blade nado going through all defenses, including IG.

And my BM friend who is full R9+12 that I duo PV with, his blade nado hits me for 5k per tick D:

XD I know right; where are all the other sins?!

Also when a BM uses blade nado/sword cyclone, he/she can't be stunned, immobilized, sealed, nor slept. D: It's either get the heck out of there or die XD

Perhaps such a new and orignal idea scares them?

Oh I missed it prevented CC. Shame you sins can't teleport away like I can without needing another target >_>

That's true, but BMs can still use speed apoth while in nado. Or they could stun you/occult you before they release a nado and cause a good bit of damage before you can get away. Or a combination of the two.

Blade nado + Charger Orb = a real tornado XD

I don't think it's silly or fail, but I would go for CoA or Lunar. If it were purely for pvp, I'd rather use something like cube/warsong ornaments. Pve-wise, I don't give evasion much value (tidal/focussed mind seem way more effective then my "natural" evasion). Pvp-wise, everyone has 2x +50% accuracy rings. Everyone also forgot about accuracy pots that were very popular for barbs ages ago. Sure, evasion has an effect. But personally, I'm not much of a gambler. I prefer getting hit while haveing defence/hp to block it over the gamble of being 1shot or unharmed while not even knowing the odds.

Hmm not too verse in the whole evaison aspect, but those saph gems don't seem to be doing much for ya. Jades would be far more effective?

Note- If some barbs use bloodbath, then there is nothing they can not touch as far as evasion is concerned.

Just wondering, how is hit/miss % calculated. I looked at the formula, but I suck at math.

Say I have 7k evasion and my attacker has 4k accuracy. What would be their hit rate?
