how does demon spark work?

Was making evil future plans when i got stuck....

Demon spark says it increases atk speed by 25%, and people say that you need 3.33 aps (0.3 int) to reach 5 aps with demon spark

But! math part:
3.33 * 1.25 (25% more) = 4,1625 aps (0.24 int)
or
0.3 * 0.75 (25% less) = 0,225 int (4,44 aps)

mhh what part i'm missing? maybe you need more to get 5 aps?

    There is not 4.1625, the game is actually nice for a change and rounds attack speed up, it goes straight from 4 to 5, and that is why you only need 3.33

    The way the game calculates attack speed is like this

    Take 20 and divide by attack speed, so lets say for example you have an attack speed of 1, the game sees that as
    1 aps = 20
    2 aps = 10
    3.33 aps = 6
    4 aps = 5
    5 aps = 4

    The smaller that number the faster the attack basically and it can only make 1 step at a time and there are no decimals in the calculation which is why it goes from 3.33 to 5

    Each -.05 takes off a 1, each -.10 takes off 2

    Um, I have no clue what the hell you just tried to do there.

    Attack speed buffs affect the attack interval, not the attack speed. Also, it rounds to the nearest 0.05 and in the case of being exactly in the middle, such as 0.225, it rounds down. What happens with 3.33 aps is this:

    3.33 aps -> 0.3 attack interval
    0.3 * 0.75 = 0.225
    0.225 -> rounded to 0.2
    0.2 attack interval -> 5 aps

    You seriously over complicated it...

    That is actually how the game calculates attack speed, and it is based on the number 20...

    3.33 * 1.25 = 4.16666666666666666666666666666
    Which seeing as there is no possible integer that 20 can be divided into that equals that, it rounds up and you get 5
