Hey! GMs, whatever happened to core client?

The core client thing that was supposed to be like a way to overlay core and stuff over your pwi client? I kinda liked the idea of being able to chat with people who were signed into core but not necessarily signed into the game.

    Thanks, Trem. But, I know the page to download it. But did they fix any of the bugs that were noted in Beta? Is it for anyone now, or is it still in the testing phases? Any new changes to core client? That page is pretty much the same as it was when it was just "testing." Makes me feel like they abandoned it maybe.

    yeah its worthless..just go in game to chat..or face book,who needs core lolz

    Probably the same that happened to core connect itself... lol

    I just use skype nowadays to chat with my people, since it's nice via smartphones even. Dunno, the idea of yet idea another chat system seems so redundant. Most people just exchange instant messenger addresses. b:surrender

    For those that are curious, the gms replied to the ticket and said that it is still in beta. Doesn't look like any of the problems have been solved yet either so all the publicly available information is still the information available from the old link. b:surrender

    I just use Steam. I put PWI and all ym other non-steam games in it and I can use the steam overlay as far as chatting and some other stuff goes right there. Helps a lot for talking to people outside of game while I'm in game. Especially since ... Steam is free and most people I know have it anyway.

    While Steam is free. The chat service isn't free until you own a Steam game. (Not sure if this includes free games or not) but they had that changed a while ago.

    Steams chat is free.. O.o;; I don't own any steam games. And they have a whole buncha Free-to-Plays on there.

    A few of my friends couldn't use the steams messenger program until they owned a game. :/

    That sucks, perhaps it was some error of some kind? No idea, I've never had trouble with steam other then some authentication error thing when I first downloaded it and I had to re-download it. I mostly just use it as a chat service with my gaming friends from FB, lol

    eh core client is ok at least i can press shift tab to see the time and don't have to alt tab and i don't have to have my desk top cluttered with stupid icons so


    i guess its a plus for me and i don't use steam that much only when someone wants to play a game


    still i don't want my steam cluttered with non steam games

    I think core could become a good thing but pwe is just throwing it aside which is bad imo because most game companies that take time to make a client for games end up being more successful just saying. people love steam and the games same as origin. and Aeria games has one. It is defiantly a good way to have your games in one place without the desktop clutter
