    I've opened around 500, in the end it was not worth it.
    DO NOT GIVE IN TO THE PWE TRICKS. Charge gold, buy the stuff you want. It will be much cheaper that way.

    But in serious it's all luck based. You always have to open in bulk to break even or come out ahead.

    You can buy tokens from players for 10-15k usually on any server.

    Packs from players with 15 tokens (usually) cost 600kish

    Packs from CS with 15 tokens (usually) cost 40 silver (if buying 100 pack)


    600k 15 tokens

    or

    15k for 1 token = 225,000 for 15

    LOL Go ahead buy 4k USD worth of packs, you would gain billions of coins out of them b:victory

    @ ZoracGollant token of luck is far too common which is the reason why it costs 10k-15k per token. Like getting strong glue which is absolutely worthless in the market because it is too common. Also, I heard of people QQ about not getting what they want in packs because they thought they would get lucky. Sad teens are sad.
    I, II and III spark is the most cheesiest skill in PWI and it should be removed or massively nerfed.

    Yeah I'm getting confused.... Well that's not too hard since it's lunch time and I'm hungry....

    Ok so UnderSeeker person said they buy packs ONLY for tokens and don't expect anything else

    So I pointed out rather rudely that it's cheaper to get tokens from other players that merchant them

    And from then on it's confusing.

    Yulk_owns says the reason they are so cheap is cause you almost always get them, which yep I pretty much stated that in my break down of costs

    As for Decus and Nowitsawn not sure if you were directing those at me or someone else....

    I'm confused, but now it's lunch time and I'm going to got eat a tasty Chicken Bacon and Swiss sandwhich from Arby's because it's well tasty.

    I buy packs for tokens too. Whenever i get packs its because i have extra money and don't mind paying an upcharge on tokens for a chance to win something. I know I likely won't but I don't care because I was buying them for tokens anyway. The most I've ever won was a cloud stir ring.

    I would think you of all people would be wiser about saying it is "luck based".

    I may not really seek out to learn much about the maths of archerdom. But I am very familiar with the ways of packs and percentages.

    They are essentially like a casino game. There's no luck involved in them. There's static percentages which you play with.

    An example of this is in hold em poker your chances of being dealt pocket aces is exactly 1/220. Players may not be dealt aces 1 in 220 times though. This is because of sample sizing. For instance my last excursion into the poker world I was dealt aces more frequently than that. But as I played more in more the numbers evened themselves out.


    This is exactly how packs work. Sure, some guy can pop off a Scroll of Tome by simply buying 1 pack out of a catshop. However, if all things were equal, and every player was given 1,000,000 packs to open, they would all have rather similar results. Because that is a proper sample sizing. No luck involved. Just simple probability.

    With packs though... they resemble the casino games that are heavily stacked towards the "House" (the casino) being favoured. And thus players do not have very good odds of opening packs with a favourable outcome (in the poker work that is called eV [expected value]).
