I agree, signing up a couple more mods would be beneficial to our boards, and it's a process that I'd like to get started in the near future.

someone who treats everyone equally and fairly; regardless of their level, knowledge of the game, etc.

On a tangent, I have to say this is one of the perks of being well known while using the default icon and NOT giving any real clues about who I am ingame. Being able to treat everyone the same based only on what they post and not needing to have/show bias in any way due to ingame relations is a very nice thing.

That said, I do agree with the rest of your post completely... and on another side note I've personally chosen to avoid voting in the poll. If I were to vote it would be in the "Thought of it" since jumping at the first chance to be a mod isn't normally a good sign... but it's not something that most who are capable would reject entirely either in most cases.

    Edit:
I agree, signing up a couple more mods would be beneficial to our boards, and it's a process that I'd like to get started in the near future.
Well that's good to hear. Hopefully it'll be a smooth process and the new mods (once they appear) will manage to handle the position well.

^^^^ Says the "PAID" Community Manager. Getting people to do the job (According to your Title) you are paid to do for free, I would expect no less in this day and time.

Why Stop with Forum Mod's why not go all Volunteer, CM's, IT, Billing, Advertising. I mean we all know volunteers can do the job as well if not better than those pesky paid employees.

See how your logic pales when it is applied to "YOU"

Having people do your job for free says more about you than you know. Either drop the Faux title or start doing your job or heaven forbid hire someone that can.

Seems like most mods on here aren't even past their 80s =/

The panda would be curious to know on what you base that statement.

It is obvious from this quote you have no idea what is going on... in fact, why did Fuzzy even quote it...

A new mod who fits with the current team would be welcome. "Fits" being the operative word. Basing it on what others may imagine is the Mod's level in-game means nothing. While it is true that an excellent understanding of game mechanics, instances, cultivation and anything else that is part of the game may help, the "job description" for a Mod of dealing with the community at large has very little to do with whatever level your toon may be.

    Lets see..

Fuzzy likes to think of himself as a pretty rational Mod.. but you want to talk about serious?

Have you completed every quest the game has to offer on multiple characters? Have you lead a top TW faction on your server? Have you a basic understadning of how to, never mind actually having done, farmed every pack item people see as only being available to those who CS? Do you have a set of full Lunar Nirvana for each and every class in the game? Have you managed to rally 99% of the top players on your server for a common goal?

    No?

    Thats funny.. Fuzzy has.

3rd person or not, before you speak about that which you not know, get a clue. This panda has earned his place.

One thing come's to mind , no one who is 105 should be allowed to be a forum mod.

I'm not saying all glitched goonz but since the company can not tell which did and which didn't to any clear concise point, allowing someone who potentially glitched the game and broke the rules to become a moderator would totally send the wrong message.

Ofc the wrong message has already been sent by ppl not being banned but this Imo would add to it ten fold.

Don't get me wrong here, I don't mind the... uhh... ''speech impediment'', but you have to realise that hundreds of people read your posts, and that only a fraction of those people know you personally.
To the rest you'll just stand out as ''that weird guy that posts in third person'' and will naturally take you less seriously for it.

I think most of us know the difference.

A GM is a paid employee who has god-like powers to make you just vanish from PWI-land.

A Mod is a non-paid person who thinks they are forum gods but in reality are just high school hall monitors with nerdrage.

As I said, mods have no power other than just locking / editing people's forum posts. Even if they want somethings to be done, they can't, Frankie would ignore even the moderators. Therefore I voted no because it is pointless (call me a troll or troublemaker, I don't care if you do :P). Who cares about bugs / glitches anymore? There's people that abuse glitches all the time, me included (That's because I know the GMs have no care about the player base, regardless they don't spend more than a half an hour on the game to monitor, they have better things to do rather than fix a video game). It is better to move on.

Yulk, you're wrong about one very important thing; Frankie doesn't ignore us. We have successfully got his attention many times before in order to comment on various issues about the game, and we have daily, direct contact with him. I agree there are many things that could be improved regarding the position of a CM, especially for the flagship game - but I can't say we've ever been ignored by Frankie or the rest of the team.

Well, regardless of what the various trolls here will say, one: it'll be good to have another forum moderator and two: when (if) this game is still here after a couple of years, you'll still be here (or someone else to replace you) complaining that the game is dead/dying/whatever.

Bold, highlight, maximize the size of "many". I'm close to stating "nearly everything", instead of "many". Even if the community manager and staff of this company do respond to the moderators, they refuse to make more than one or two posts a week, if that. There have been weeks that 13 full days passed, and not a single post on the entire message board of pwi-forum.perfectworld.com. Coming from a company who holds this game as their "flag ship" game, they treat it as bad as LoMA or HoTK. They expect that it will be okay without any staff intervention, at all.

I could probably snag links to a few hundred forum-threads asking for GM/CM assistance or clarification on topics, just under the last month. Of course, no GM/CM responded. Live chat support was cut, leaving tickets as the only source of communication between the people who host these servers and the players who create characters on them and play the game. There is no one watching world chat or players in-game, ever. Even during business days, it's a joke. People can call off profanities to one-another, kill others in Cube, etc. If they send a ticket, a week or two later the response will be horrid - either automated or they themselves will be banned. Very, very few people actually get real assistance from sending tickets. In my time, I've sent a solid 20-30 tickets, and there wasn't a single ticket answered reasonably.

More moderators wouldn't help anything in my opinion. Moderators are nice and all, but they won't fix the PWE communication issue. That's the main issue that needs to be fixed, and I highly doubt will be. More moderators is just putting a band-aid over the main problem - not really fixing anything, but covering it up real nice.
