Each server is different. Just look at what other catshops are doing and copy them.[SIGPIC]http://i48.tinypic.com/2r61kw3.jpg[/SIGPIC]

Rep badges or something until you can get 44 gold, then peddle drake mirror packs until the sale's over. (Or, wait, rep badges are still in the boutique right? If not, find some way to get 44 gold, there's gotta be something. Flip tokens if you get desperate, even.)0

You could buy n sell mounts
make an alt and spam wc with WTB FLYERS AND MOUNTS
the hard thing is to set prices to buy n sell, good luck with that b:victory[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I really do not understand how pack merchanting can be profitable...
Ea pack is 50 silver. gold is at 1.45m right now. Packs are selling for 674k ea. Times that by 2 and you get 1,348,000. So if I were to buy gold to sell packs I would be throwing money away. PLEASE merchanters, explain to me how pack selling is so fkn profitable![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

A pack is only 44 silver when you buy 'em 100 at a time, as every catshop in west arch surely does. That way we can undercut the one-pack-at-a-time boutique price and still make a profit.
What boggles me are the buyers who purchase 50-70 packs at a time from my catshop. Those people would almost certainly save money by buying their own gold, but I'm not complaining.0 -

..... You buy 100 for 44 gold. That knocks it down to 44 silver a piece. So at 1.5mil per gold price you're paying 66mil for 100 packs. That equates to 660k per pack. So if they sell at 674k they are making 14k profit per pack x 100 = 1.4mil. What don't you get about basic math?[SIGPIC]http://i48.tinypic.com/2r61kw3.jpg[/SIGPIC]

We merchants buy whatever is cheapest. That's always the largest batch.
About 95% of the profit you make comes from the discounts in those batches. The other 5% is gold inflating due to a sale.
Also 100 packs is still small-time. Heck, anything short of 400 could be considered small-time.I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.

^ It's like Walmart. Everything there is damn cheap compared to everything else. However they are still making a huge profit off of you because of the vast bulk they buy.[SIGPIC]http://i48.tinypic.com/2r61kw3.jpg[/SIGPIC]

Honestly, other than catshopping the packs I have no idea what else the 100-pack bundles might ever be good for.
Then again, other than catshopping the packs I'm not convinced packs are good for much. I've never seen the need to actually open one myself, though I've resold countless thousands.0 -

I did a little of both. Surprisingly I made an additional 200mil profit opening then just selling.
I just have to wait a bit. (Oddly PWE gave us the packs with the BOOSTED % of Nirvana chests instead of the lower % one. I think they are really pushing the g16 stuff. Which I smell a 10* Orb sale before next month is over.)
Opened 500 for the ****zngiggles factor.

And just like PWI merchanting, the profits they make on each individual product is small, but the volume that they sell every single day means that the profits they make are significant.I am Olba. I cannot afford to buy even 100 at bulk yet, that's why I spaced it.
I guess I am doomed to deal tokens >.<Facebook.com/foxi187

Flipping tokens (and mirages) was how I got myself started. It's busy merchanting, you have to keep checking your catshop often because of price shifts and because tokens especially can move really fast both into and out of inventory. My starting capital was two million; within a week, it was eight. The margin is small but the volume is huge.
Trading tokens into token goods (HP/MP food, hypers, and such) and selling those up in snowy village has a larger profit margin, but a smaller volume and probably a lower profit per time unit. Not such stressful busywork minding the shop, though.
If we get a 1* orb sale or suchlike before you get up to pack-buying capital, something that sells from the cash shop cheaper than the economy size of packs, sell those. 1*'s doubled my money once, back before I could afford the gold to play packs.0 -
You didn't happen to make your 40m selling a HP charm to an incorrectly priced catshop? b:laugh0

Another alternative would be buying raps/cannies now. With the new packs out as well as the recent agen the value of them has dropped. But considering the release of this new amazing g16 that equates to r9 the value of them will go back up again. (I'm too busy controlling the dorb market atm to switch or I might invest a little into it -_-)[SIGPIC]http://i48.tinypic.com/2r61kw3.jpg[/SIGPIC]
