Red glowing sphere/ball?

I have a lvl 23 seeker and recently I noticed strange red spinning ball/sphere next to my character's head...

What is it? What does it indicate?

    Is that your genie? If it's a zeal it would be red at that level. If you zoom in on it does it look like a little fairy flying around?

    no, it's not. my genie is orange with red leaves falling off... I can add picture from character selection screen:

    If it just happens to be sitting right on your "sheathed" sword's handle, then it's the graphical indication that your Bladed Fervor self-buff is active.

    Edit: yep, that's what Bladed Fervor looks like alright.
