Game is sadly nearing the end of its economical life. The population isn't even close to what it used to be. However it is quite active and if you find the right group of players it is still quite an enjoyable game. (Otherwise I would've quit myself a while ago as well as many others.)[SIGPIC]http://i48.tinypic.com/2r61kw3.jpg[/SIGPIC]

The game is active enough. It is a nice game...all in all. The problem is the content with the endgame...gear, squading, etc, and a few issues that you;ll notice as you go along. It is still a good and nice game, with great potential. It's just that the developers are getting a bit too greedy, and as a result some of the other endgame people without the most epic of gears are starting to suffer as a result.
That said, try it out and see how you like it. For all the negativity that you may run across here on the forums, there are worse choices for games out there for games.
That said, bm is a good class to start out with. They have pretty good all around defenses, and a variety of weapons. Enjoy the game, and your brand new bm (blademaster). Remember that you can create up to 8 characters per account on each server, so if you get tired of one, just play another.
Edit: And as KawallJen said, its not quite the game that it once was, but it is still enjoyable nonetheless. It's why we're still here. Lol."Male Player using female toon. Please don't flirt with me."

It's people like you two that scare away any potential new players who come to the forums. Who says they have to spend money to enjoy the game. All they need to do is find a good group of players to hang out with to enjoy it....
BTW: Fun fact. Moria Gear is FREE and dam good PvE gear.[SIGPIC]http://i48.tinypic.com/2r61kw3.jpg[/SIGPIC]

The single biggest thing you can do, to enjoy PWI as best you can, is: don't bother with PVP. Stick to the PVE aspect, and no RL money or no obscene time commitments will be required.
If you find yourself short on money ingame, there are things you can farm and sell to other players that will help you get by, and many good gear pieces are easy to get in the mid-levels. I must also stress that you should start on an old, populated server, where prices on things are lower. Heaven's Tear and Sanctuary are going to be your best bets.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Yes, I'm still a stubborn holdout in favor of the old game. Haters gonna hate. ;]
Other Active Characters:
LigerKing (Barb), Girasole (BM), Shamsheer (Sin), ArborSoul (Mystic).0 -
I would suggest creating characters on servers besides the European ones. I created a character on the german server and found out that one isn't active enough.
The game is not dead at all. Don't listen to people on these forums.0 -
Players complain that servers are dead(I.e no new players)
New player comes on and wants to see how the game is.
Players scare off new player by telling that player not to play.
Players go back to complaining that servers are dead(I.e no new players)

Dude, your posts rock! +1. Like Miugre says, play PWI if you enjoy PVE and not rush to level up like a lot of other people are doing only to get disappointed.KawaiiJen - Heavens Tear wrote: »It's people like you two that scare away any potential new players who come to the forums. There have been too many especially that QQing nerdraging LVL100+ fail archer that whines too much about "this game is dead" and those losers think of him as a hero for being just like that. He talked big about PVP but his money was not where his mouth was and still get steamrolled by level 80s b:laugh good riddance that he is finally banned (IP banned or left after temporary ban?).XxZavxX - Raging Tide wrote: »I would suggest creating characters on servers besides the European ones. Not true at all. I never have or will demand an "super OP" aps/+10/etc/etc character. And a ton of others I know do the same. We know what it's like to not be the minority "OP class" so we take them with us. (At least on HT we do...) And if the player is smart they can do pretty damn well for themselves without spending a dime.[SIGPIC]http://i48.tinypic.com/2r61kw3.jpg[/SIGPIC]

Run!!! And don't look back!!!! Find a different game, play that, don't give this company money!!! They are on the way out, already trashed a server with a 300 second warning. Think long and hard about spending any time in this game, and whether a game that is just starting is a better option.0

I always take whoever pms me first unless I am needing a certain class like uhhh a cleric lol. Few weeks ago was doing a bh wave 2 and I formed the squad and we started and someone was like wait we have no bm we can't do this without a bm. I was like just watch us (it was even funnier cause it was the sin saying that and we had a partially r9 seeker and a wizzie for aoe lol)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Or you could just spend a certain amount to make a few gold and buy and resell those for like maybe... 30x as much rather than CSing for some items that lost value or bothering to merchant. Cash shop wisely > Merchant wisely. $10 USD is nothing. Either way, playing the game isn't so bad and it would not hurt if people be a little more strategic rather than relying on overpowered things...WTB PWI 2008 where people were thinking more about doing good rather than pretending to be.0 -
Just play the game and enjoy the environment in the game.
The blademaster you made was a good choice as the other poster's said here.
The game is active, make friends/find a good guild that loves PvE, and have a blast with the unimaginable adventures the land of Pan Gu has to offer.
PS: its a role playing game and all about fun and imagination. b:laugh0 -

yall are telling people to go away... and yet wonder why the game is dying. the game isnt dying because of the devs, its dying because of the players. eg: venos got outed as the instance soloing class by assassins, got mad and quit rather than adjusting. Players complain about game being easy/ no content - the devs gave you what you wanted, more content and harder bosses, and now you cry. Dont blame the dev's for the economy being "out of whack" - blame the sellers and also blame yourself for actually paying that much. I want to copy and paste a bit of an excerpt from another forum which talks about MMO economy. Maybe some of you guys will learn something from it:Price:
It's the intersection of supply and demand. thats all. no one can ever control prices, you can influnce supply and demand ( more on that later) but prices are controlled by the consumer and what he/she will pay for something. Prices should always be moving up and down as this is a good sign that the markets healthy. When prices are stagnate the over all market will suffer. Something is worth no more and no less than what someone will pay for it.
Inflation/Inflators:
Inflation is the build up of coin on the open market. The more of something there is the less its worth, same is true of coin. All of the coin on the server is equal to all the items on the server. Unless someone dumps billions on the market there is no such beast as an inflator. But so and so marks his prices way up! Really, wow , then don't buy his stuff. Simple enough.
Either he has misjudged the market or he believes that current prices are way too low, doesn't matter the higher he sets his prices the less action (sales ) he will recieve and the more supply he will pull into the market. If he were to say sale defense essences at 4m each then before long he would probaly have a shop beside him selling defense essences cheaper. If he has the only supply of something and has priced it very high, then others will be tempted to secure that item and get it to the market, thus increasing supply.
The market will correct its self, no one can keep it up or down for long. And if you say "but i had to buy from him" then my friend it was worth it to you wasn't it? Other wise why did you buy it? Those who you would call inflators insure a constant supply of goods on the market. But they do not and never have affect the overall price of something, that my friend is the consumer. If you aren't buying the price will drop, and if you are buying the price will climb.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

People must be using that just as an excuse not to invite you, or your one of those people who refuse to form and give up after a few minutes of looking. I get into plenty of random squads on my sin and only thing is more than +5, the dagger +6 I got super lucky on when I accidentally refined the wrong thing TODAY. I've gotten into all of the bhs, aeu, eu, etc. Nirvy might be difficult during 2x, but most things don't require +10 refines to get squads and even then u can find nirvy squads if you look hard enough. I know I found a couple during 2x, but sadly it was during a time I was buys so instead of going on a ton last 2x I just put up a catshop and got my daggers. And i'm on the same server as you. And before you say it's a sin, aps squads are the ones most notorious for kicking people with low refines.
@OP
I suggest doing an older server, heaven's tear, sancturary, and dreamweaver are all good choices if you want to do PvE. So pick the one with the lowest ping. A blademaster is a good choice and is welcome into most any squad. Don't rush your first char unless you plan on spending irl money to gear them enough to do the bhs, I suggest instead learning your class well. You'll level pretty quickly anyway. I suggest reading the helpful guides in the class section of the forum and to consult the wiki if you have any problems.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I agree with you both, people complain that we don't have enough new players, but the second a new player post asking something about the game, class, gears or w/e everyone tell the player to don't bother to play saying the game is dead and troll the tread.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
