2x drops ruins the already ruined in-game economy, even more than it already is. It floods the market with TT mats, Nirvana drops, etc, causing the prices to shoot down. Basic economics. Heavy supply on the server = low prices. This causes farmers to make less coin after the 2x event is over.0 -

Inflation is good for sellers who had purchased the item at the previous price and intend to sell it at the newly inflated price. Its bad for consumers who dont possess any inventory in order to hedge against higher prices. High drop rates would help reduce inflation that so many players are complaining about. It would ruin some merchants though.0

Do not talk about economics when you do not appear to comprehend the overall economic superstructure of PWI.
2x does not destroy the economy at all. If anything it actually helps it out in the long term.
Why? It shifts the demand to different markets. Once players get their 2nd cast Nirvana they need to refine it. Demand increases in the orb market. Or they need good gems, again demand shifts to another market.
And it is no great secret that the higher peoples' hp is the more charms they will go through.
Mat markets are not exactly the end-all-be-all of PWI's economy.0 -

The first time we had 2x drops on this game, the TT mat market was murdered. Another 2x event after that made it worthless to farm TT for anything besides gold mats. Before that, most green mats were selling for 2m+.0 -

Lost city server not full of mats.TT worthless to farm atm cuz the droprate so bad.Non cashshoppers have nothing to farm.So they dont have money to buy mats.So the price mats in TT drop cuz there not selling.Gold mats on 2x still sell good for chip price.People buy out all the green mats to make armor hoping to get 4soc or a good stat.if not they resell for money.

The reason TT mats don't sell well anymore is because of the constant 2x events, ruining the in-game mat market. If I was a GM, why do I spend my free time bashing PWE/Frankie? I'm not trying to ruin anyone's fun, I just don't see a reason to have a 2x event, when it ruins the in-game mat market economy.0
