Morai weapon

So, I've read about some other G15 Morai weapons outclassing the R8 (like the bow). I currently have R8 on wiz, only +6 atm with mirages so I haven't put too much expense into it. My question is, should I bother going for the G15 Morai weapon instead? Is it better, or not worth the time/money?

    G15 morai is on far with the DPS of R9 in PvE assuming you get 3 decent stats on it. The question is do you PvE enough to justify spending the money on refining G15 morai over your R8 of saving up for R9 which can be used for PvE and PvP.

    Unrefined, unsharded.. the g15 morai outdamages my +7 2 socketed r8 wep. Not by a small margin either.

    IMO, was worth the 17 mil, but others I know had a real issue with getting useful adds on it, so they had the additional expense of having to reroll it.

    Tyvm for the input. As far as PvE vs. PvP, no worries there - I am a PvE player only hehe. I wouldn't be considering this otherwise.

    Sounds like it is worth a shot then. I enjoy the questing anyway. ^^

    Biggest drawbacks for us PvE only players is that it is not only not Sell-able, but not Account Shareable. We're not guaranteed an upgrade path for it either. The adds on the Morai weapons are never as good as they can be (no -int, zerk, -ch, etc). I gotta say though that my Barb now DD's like my wiz with the Hellfire Hatchets: Sky (+6) and not even refined as high as the G15+10 my wiz uses. -Range attacks are a major shortcoming though.

    If you only pve, why would you come out of pocket extra for gear that is no more effective? Because you don't want to be underdressed at the "real wizzy" fashion show?

    Exactly, if you only PVE, 18 or so mil is a hell of a lot less than either r8 or r9. Hell, it's less than TT99.

    Considering it outperforms r8 regardless of adds (mine has no addl mag atk on it, and base damage is about 2-3k different per hit) I say it's a great option for the PVE only wiz.

    but then again my aim is to be 100 by atleast the end of the year and once I get there byebye PvE.

    Derp. PvE servers have PvP too. I think you read my post wrong. Did I say anything was wrong with their decisions? I just asked a question in hopes of getting a response as to why people would want to PvE only on what is probably the most useless class for it. The instances where it is useful you could go afk in or it's just a button mashing session. Can't say anything about endless universe though.

    Believe it or not, but there are people in this game who simply don't like PvP.
    And there are people who like to play a wizzy. Not everyone wants to have the most usefull freaking awesome class for everything, otherwise we'd all be running around as a sin. (besides, new BH SoT and Abba preferes casters over APSers)

    Wiz isn't my preferred class. Simple fact is: it was my first one. There's no point in not using it to get BH100 rewards, or alt box RB with it, or share all equips with a Mystic and Cleric on the same account (why I won't go for Morai weapon).

    Never realised G15 Morai can't be stashed. That's a shame I guess.
