Whats a good starting class?

I havent even finished downloading the game yet but im trying to figure out what race and class i should go with. im not new to mmo's just this game. looking for tips on how to start a good character like what races match up with classes what race or class seems to do well etc. i like using magic and melee type characters so i just dont know what route i should go with. thanks for your suggestions

    I would say, because you like both Mag and Melee classes, you could make a Seeker. Pwi has 8 character spots available, so you could also try 8 different classes at first, till you are between lvl 30-60 maybe, because it would depend on you what a good starting class is.

    Magic + Melee = Venomancers.

    Having a pet to take damage instead of you , utilizing many debuffing skills while doing normal amounts of damage + having the abiliy to turn into a fox and use a completely different type of strategy, makes venos really friendly to any new player.

    Ofc every class needs practice to master , but venomancer is easy to maintain. Most money goes to skills , gear and some pet upgrades(that depend on you)

    Other Classes are Seekers , they combine nice skills with many combos , enabling you to choose your own fav strategy. They lack crowd control skills, which translates as to having very few , however they have a bunch of AoEs (Area of Effect) Skills , which combines physical and sometimes magical damage (mainly from the metal element if i remember right).

    Blademasters are also another solid class. they don't have any magic skills , but they have a wide selection of weapons (axe - fist combo is really popular , that means 6 str 4 dex every 2 levels). Plus they are welcome in squads , and generally valuable for their AoEs and Stun skills.

    Archers , while a bit underpowered at early levels , progress rather quick as well. they have mostly physical skills plus 3-4 magic ones , and hit very hard. At lvl 60 and onwards , they gain lots of power , but generally i recommend them to more exprerienced players due to their difficulty to learn early on.

    Last , i also find psychics easy to play. They do big amounts of Damage fairly on , easy to maintain if you dont aim for PVP. Their skills are fast , and many are AoE. Pure magical damage of Earth and water element.

    I would also say Mystics , however their MP consumption early on frustates lots of players , and the mass amount of different skills creates some chaos to people with no experience in money making.

    I also advice you to start on a PVE server , learn the ropes with the class you want (or try all of them). Then choose whether you want Hybrid PVP & TW in a PVE server or pure PVP & TW on a PVP server.
