New Arenas (Used for PWIC)

So I got to test the new arenas with a group of others today. (Don't mind my level It was for another server.) The first two arenas are in SP and since they fixed the blue name PK this became a busted idea. (So they will attempt to fix this.) The last arena is the same map as theatre of blood. PK works here as blue name, however if you die you get teleported to the outskirts where an invisible wall prevents you from moving back into the arena. This area as well as the perminter in the other 2 arenas are for spectators to watch.



Took randoms SS'es as we partook in it. Hope you like it. Sky and cloud are the same arenas Btw.

    It's a damn shame is what it is. Hopefully we can get those arenas to function the way we want them to. Thanks for helping, guys.

    I think we all knew from last year that the PWIC map has same settings as SP. Can't have forced PK in one and not the other..

    If we are ever going to have a real cross-server PVP competition though you're going to have to make separate server for it. All the other PW versions did that so it can't be that hard to do.

    That is what the end-goal is; assuming that the arenas work correctly in the future, the big hurdle will be tackling the logistics of hundreds of players per server all wanting to participate in a massive PvP tournament. First thing's first, though, let's try to get the arenas working.

    That's kinda shocking, they seemed to work well... Based on what I saw from the pwic vids. Wonder what broke it.

    Interesting you were at the old arch arena too. I had assumed pwe was never going to use it.

    Btw, if future events are going to take place at the new arenas, you might as well hand these things out. They give lottery tickets, which in return, give a chance at getting a baby pet that can't be got from any where else along with other misc goodies.

    It was a blast, although next time it would be nice to get some kind of temp gear. I also took screenies. I will filter through them and try to find some good ones. It was kinda hectic.

    ummm... look at the screen shots. You might notice that all the toons selected for this venture are the same ones who go +12 fanboy for PWE and Frankie (and GMs).

    If you've ever talked against PWE, Frankie, a GM or the mods, you are not able to be chosen for anything that looks like special treatment. Sort like when FW was being beta tested and entire guilds of fanboys made it in CB and others didn't. lol

    (and before you say I'm jelly or some other ****, I'm not. TBH, I'm a bit saddened. I respected your opinions and thought that you must really enjoy PWI. I can live with that. I even admired your ability to keep your head held high when others voiced their not so favorable opinions on the game. Now, it seems like those of you who were "rah-rah" kids on the forum, did so for special favors. I can't understand how a tour of an unopened arena can turn people into rent-toons. Very sad. We expect this from PWE GMs and Frankie but our fellow players to allow themselves to be taken in... it is a sad day. Oh well... Just kinda funny at the brown-nose club perks is all. Hey, if it works for ya, great. Have a blast. Just don't be suprised when people point you out for over zealous reactions to negative postings and say... there goes Frankie's shill again.. ijs)

    I think that it has to do with the tourney that Sagek had been planning earlier, if you remember way back when. The selection seemed kinda random, although I had tried to come up with a logo for it.     Seriously Doubt that. Arenas existed way before the converting of sp to the blue named flying pk instance. But if it is we have been lied to all along as to the reason why the arenas were turned off.

    Well according to Frankie, in the past it worked with sp being carebear friendly AND having the arena. They even tested it before the latest patch. So something happened between now and then. Hopefully, it will be up and running before they get together teams for the PWIC.

    This feels like too generic of an answer and I honestly can't see what effect would edits to one map would have to another.

    Yeah you could fly, and you did not port anywhere you died. It also wasn't auto pvp enabled, so the people who could had to actually turn on pk mode.

    I applaud what you did. There has been a lot of us who have tried to make PWI a better place. I spent most of December giving out charms, pets, flyers, mounts, packs and coins to people in silverpool, after the holiday clusterfrack that made Christmas at PWI suck ponybutt. (that's for all you bronies out there). I want to thank you for trying to make PWI a better place. If I've misjudged you about your intentionsl for the unopened arenas, I'm sorry. However, what I've said about PWE's history of favoritism, stands. I hope you don't get caught up in the glitter.

    Of the past..... 5 forum topics I've made, only two were complimentary or neutral to PWI or PWCN and the complimentary one was the "I...like the Update" one. The other was a guide. Scrolling back... one was a fashion petition complaining about unreleased fashion, one was a list of known issues with skills including glitches and bugs, another was a list of unreleased patch notes or changes that were not in patch notes... yeah. My last two pm's to frankie, you know, being his huge fangirl, were complaining about the massive glitch that prevented our TW faction from bidding for 7 weeks, and the weird world boss spawn times post Morai update. I'm such a shill. Of the rest, the only other active people on forums are Asty, Sagek, VenusArmani, and KawaiiJen. I wouldn't call any of these people company shills. The rest were people Asterelle, Sagek, and I scrambled to pull together when a bunch of people Sagek invited fell through.

    In other words, I'm sorry if you are somehow offended that the people chosen happen to have nice gear. Most of them were pulled from Asty and my friend list with no thought put into gear or not, just people who were on who we trusted. One I literally pm'd and said come here without telling him a thing about what was going on. >_> And then we killed him. Poor Nuke.

    Oh, their gear makes me drool too X-x Sanctuary's high end TW faction population is comprised of a lot of similarly geared people. TW enthusiasts really do gear up. I'm considered almost undergeared. b:sad

    Sanc is a pretty well populated server in general, you're right :O And I look forward to being bunnyrolled!
