So the new Abaddon boss. I just witnessed it heal itself from almost dead to full HP in less than 1 second, and then one shot an entire squad, after being attacked by a bunch of aps characters.

Now I understand how to kill it (somewhat), but there's something I need to figure out.

Can anyone confirm or deny whether soul degeneration has any effect on the boss's healing? It seemed to make a difference when I tried it, but I can't be certain of it. When I was using amp, (the second time fighting the boss) it jumped from about 200k HP back to half HP instantly, so I switched to soul degen, and it didn't heal after that. I know the healing buff can be purged, but my purge doesn't cool down fast enough to catch every buff.

Anybody figured this out yet?

    I'm not sure 100% but only the IH icon buff can be purged.
    The rest can't so either Soul Degeneration if it works or just tell your squad not to attack. As far as I know the red buffs recover the HP and makes the boss AOE back at the squad based on how much damage it receives.

    That boss is made so you can't kill him with all APS.

    Bring casters, or tell your sins to use skills or something

    He is alot easier aps or not if you kill peach first. We squad wiped first time, then killed peach on advice from someone that did it already and he was alot easier.

    Its not that simple

    He one-shoot at first any class but barb or someone overgeared,regardless if its a 1.43 aps BM pulling or a 4 aps one.

    Did anyone try diminished vigor or that bishing cleric skill which denies enemy's healing?

    some1 had OP gear if you killed him in 1 HF

    he's like GBA...sometimes you get lucky and he's easy...other times impossible without a barb tankng

    I remember telling someone that on RT lol. I was wondering why people where saying he was hard.

    He died in less than a spark for me. Didn't tick my charm either.

    Yes I think you told that to someone in our squad that day. We got him down to under 100k when my first spark ended nd he healed and wiped us out. He did not hit hard at all until then b:chuckle

    Nice but if you noticed he put his buffs up just as he was almost dead. If you can kill it fast before he buffs up naturally he's easy.

    So basically......its turned out to be another massive APS boss? Take as many max APS with you as you can and kill ASAP before buffs? b:surrender

    i view it as a sick joke really

    If youre low geared/low damage you probably wont do enough for the buffs to do anything - i can solo it or duo with a wiz healing just fine.

    If you're OP and can kill the thing in about 10 seconds, he probably wont buff and you should be safe.

    the problems come when you have moderate damaged squads that cant kill it fast enough, but their damage is high enough to make the boss go ape ****

    Easily done with 1 arch, 1 veno, 1 cleric. Veno use herc to sacrifice for the first hit. Archer bow tanks taking ~1k dmg per hit in bb (for safety reasons) while veno runs around doing random ****. No barbs needed.

    My archer doesn't run any BH without a veno. I did witness numerous herc get one shotted. A herc's p.def might be somewhere along the line of my arch's p.def without BM buffs. So charging in is not something I was willing to try first hand... but might give it a shot now that someone else tried it.

    I think it only happens when he first casts buff then. (Which I am out of the radius of attack but not agro so it doesn't proc and hit me.)

    I dunno his damage + bleed ticks hit pretty nasty compared to regular mobs to me.

    No one gave a concrete answer to this yet so here's what I know. I did tried to hold the Aba boss but the bleed + the attack makes it so that my Herc dosen't have enough HP to succesfully tank. At 101 my Herc as a bit over 4600 HP and he gets hit for a combined 5k+ damage. The Herc would need over 10k HP to be succesfull in tanking it.

    Ive been in 3 different sqds for leaf rain now and all 3 have failed.

    Im giving up on it.
