I don't understand D.Orb prices

How come D.Orbs 1* are sold for like 100-150k each when they cost 2 gold and 70 silver for 10 (1.3M gold price),shouldn't they cost like 350k each? b:puzzled

    Dragon fire packs -> 3.6 gold for 20 packs = 3.6 gold for at least 40 1 star d orbs as the most common reward = 110k prices with 1.2m priced gold.

    Not to mention it's a free chance to get a +12 d orb if you're going for some 1 stars for regular refining.

    It's actually a bit more complex.

    You can price the +2-5 orbs accordingly due to being made from 1* Orbs. Going by this and ignoring the +12 Orb gives you a return of 2.549 1* Orbs per Dragon's Fire Pack. Thus, their cost comes to 7.06 silver a piece, which in turn would amount to 100,839 with 1.4m gold.

    Well that's pretty obvious, but I just find it easier to explain it in simpler ways by assuming the worse case scenario for each pack, since all of the rewards can be reduced down to a common item, which is the 1 star orb.

    This doesn't apply to other packs, so that's why I like explaining it like so for Dragon Fire Packs.

    Well, the only packs that most people buy to open instead of reselling is Battle Pet Packs, Hot Colors Packs and Dragon's Fire Packs.

    The pricing of packs such as Wildlife Pack or Perfect Chest have nothing at all to do with the value of the contents. Such packs are priced purely based on the cost to buy them.

    And of course, since I dwell into both businesses for profits, I'd prefer to give/have the more detailed explanation. And hey, I didn't even bother mentioning that there's at least two ways to interpret the +12 orb into the value of a Dragon's Fire Pack, which would also affect the sale price of 1* Orbs.

    i would argue that all packs are bought to be opened, since if nobody wants to open them, nobody would buy them.

    the # of packs bought to the # of packs opened is always approaching 1

    in the area of 2.5k packs and none yet...... over the course of the last 4 sales, i would say i opened close to 10k packs with no +12 yet :(

    Similar experience, about 8k packs, no +12. Friend opens two, gets a +12. Chance of getting +12 is not small, it is based on mysterious luck, and i don't have mysterious luck. In my calculations i just take out +12 from it, because it drives the real cost of my orbs down, when it is not. I recalculate the price after opening all the packs, and see accordingly b:thanks. If i ever get a +12, i'll keep it :D. Free +12 is hard to beat.
