A previous post reminds me when i started to play PWI and i think we all have done noob things or believed something that we realize wasn't the case. (like the people thinking venomancer normal bramble work in PvP)

So since i'm bored it could be nice too read what's the noob things people done or believed.

I'll start:

My first char was a blade master and i was new in the game so i didn't know really how it work, my brother told me that i need to put point in stats and since i didn't really know how it work, i put the points all in magic thinking that my skills would hit really hard on mobs.

Of course now when i think to that, i laugh cause that was really stupid.

So if you have a funny story to share go ahead.

Same, I switched from Lost to Sanc and immediately bound my Daedalus wings, forgetting that I don't need to on a PvE server. =P

When I first started and was a little nooblet, I thought that blessings of the purehearted was better than ironheart. Because I didn't know what stacking was, but I knew blessings seemed to heal a heck of a lot of hp. Once I finished my fb19 though, I was told better.

Well my noob moment was that i made a cleric for the first time on sanctuary server and it was my first character back in the day. I lvled my cleric all the way up to 53 without adding any points to the stats section. I raged a lot because i died often and did little damage and I wondered why all of the blacksmiths gear was red and i couldn't wear it. i raged then quit the server lol. So i made this cleric on harshlands and one day i pressed the button C by accident and i actually read something, like who reads instructions lol. Well if it wasn't for this i would probably still be on sanctuary server.

Well that is my noob storyb:pleased

Tell me about it. I had no clue the cash shop existed until I accidently pressed C in my mid 50's. I also had no idea about the auction house or refines until my 40's. Now they have a popup at level 10 telling you to spend money in the cash shop.

When I was a level 20-ish BM, some guy told me you should mix light and heavy armor because the light would give you more magic defense. Luckily I didn't die too many times before I figured out how terrible that advice was.

Everything has its beginnings, but it doesn't start at one. It starts long before that... The world is born From zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes 2. 2 becomes 10. 10 becomes 100. taking it all back to one solves nothing. so long as zero remains... One.. Will eventually grow to 100 again.

Agreed. When I started the game, the staff at Perfect World Entertainment were somewhat believable. I think it was around the time they stated they were monitoring gold prices (Xarfox), when gold reached like 300k. Everyone knew they were lying. Or it was the time I posted on the forums & submitted a list of over 100+ bugs, glitches, etc back in 2009 or early 2010. Most of the stuff I listed haven't been fixed to this day. Shocking.

I originally joined Harshlands{PVP} server - totally obvious to the fact that PVP stood for Player verses Player....and then got totally pissed that at level 60 or so couldn't complete quests without someone constantly attacking you...I wasn't aware at all that on a PVP server like Harshlands you are free game when you hit level 30 LOL!!!
So, now I joined Dreamweaver{PVE} server...
It is stupid that you have to start from the beginning again because you cannot move you Avatar from server to server. So much for paying customers and PW customer service.

In 2009, my first character was a cleric and I decked her out in heavy armour. As far as I knew, given the choice between being able to take a hit and not being able to, it seemed perfectly logical. That character failed, naturally.

So, I made a BM and reached lvl30 (which I thought was a massive achievement) then someone told me about PKing. I had no idea what PvE or PvP meant and realised I'd made a huge mistake. I hate PvP. Thinking 30 was a high level and that I'd gone too far to start over on a PvE server, I remained on Harshlands.

For the next ten levels or so, I avoided fashion like the plague because I though if you were wearing normal clothes, your armour didn't work, lol.

There are hundreds of these, I'm really bad at games. Silliest one has to be when Genesis came out. I didn't know you could click through that title animation with the little dudes dancing around the fire. I sat and waited for that to end for a good few months before my sister told me I could skip it.b:surrender

My very first character was an archer. I didn't know how to distribute points so every level I put 1 point in each stat, thinking even stats would make a better character. It didn't work out, I have since deleted that character. I would like to add in my defense this is the first online game I have played.

took me a few months (lv 40-50ish?) to realize Break in the Clouds on mystic could heal others and was not self-cast only

first few times in FC was dropping healing plants around the elemental bishops until someone mentioned they dont actually attack

didnt realize until lvl 90-100ish that you could buy BH wines from tokens and not from catshops b:surrender

every few days still port out of morai (quest from teleporter) instead of going to the next waypoint as intended..

Best bonehead move was probably last friday during the PWI-sponsored cube race. I was one of the first 25 players to hit rm 50 easy.... Instead of talking to GM first and collecting the 5m coin prize, I talked to the npc and he gave me the page of fate and ported me out of the room b:chuckle

I did exactly the same thing. That's why I have a lvl 42 Wizzy gathering dust on HL.

I guess the most bone-headed thing I've done was in a BH79 I was clericing. There were two barbs in the squad, both tiger types in tiger form (this was back when barbs could keep aggro). We were at Hoolie and one barb was tanking, so I clicked on him - I thought - and was IHing away, but his bar in the squad list kept dropping, so I kept spamming IH and couldn't figure out why he wasn't healing. Long story short - he died. It was then that I realized I had clicked the wrong barb. I rezzed him and he promptly rage-quit the squad, saying (perhaps correctly in this case) that I was a fail cleric. We finished up the run with no more problems. In my defense, it was about 2 am when it happened.

This really made me laugh. Sadly enough however, in my faction forgetting to pick up BH and only realizing after BH is done is known as "pulling an Anna." Because guess who has done that countless times? b:chuckle

I had the same dumb mistakes as a few others here. Being my first game, I had no idea what PvP and PvE were so I made my first char on Lost server. Luckily my roommate quickly set me straight on that so my archer there is only level 2. And my first char on a PvE server was a blademaster, in whom I piled magic points thinking I needed more mana for skills and that the skills would hit harder. Needless to say, she got deleted.
