Room 56 Cube of Fate

Hoping someone can help me

I got stuck in Rm 56 in the cube of fate, followed the instructions as per the wiki and could not get back to room A.

Every time I went to the portal (2nd row 3rd portal) from Room B I ended up back in Room E

Is this room glitched?

These are the instructions I followed.

Room 56: pay 150k, reward: 2 book cards
This game is called "Find the Brother" and consists of 4 rooms.
In each room there are portals that bring you to another, or back to the same, room.
You need to find your quest NPC in any of these rooms and then report back to the first one.
Ported in random room with 12 holes - Check the coordinates right when you are ported in, not at NPC.

    when you are looking at the portals, look at them this way

    O O O 3
    O O O 2 X <NPC
    O O O 1
    3 2 1
