    • Items Listed in Rookie Guide?

    Okay since the lasted expansion . . every time you level up the Rookie guide pops open to help new players get more info about the game . . . awesome( a little annoying & can be turned off )

    However my post is coming after i have started a new Blademaster, i've reach level 10+ and have been ignoring the rookie guide for the most part, until . . . i noticed . . .

    under the "GEAR Details" button it lists . . .

    Lv 4 Heavy Plate ** Corona Cuirass
    Lv 4 Heavy Leggings ** Corona Greaves
    Lv 4 Heavy Footwear ** Corona Warboots
    Lv 4 Heavy Wristgaurds ** Corona Bracers
    Lv 4 Protection Belt ** Corona Belt
    all the above has a Required Level of 1 ( yep Level 1 )

    also showing in this list at my current level is
    * Newbie's Badge - Required level 10
    Lv 4 weapon *** IceBlade - Combat Hammer - Required level 10

    my question is where . . Oh Where ??? do I find these wonderful Gears, cuz i cannot find an NPC or quest that offers them?

    I tried making another new character just to be sure i didn't miss anything, nope . . . as far as level 13 and nothing of these items from any npc or quest i can find.

    Please oh great guru's of the perfect world community please hear my cry . . .
    Where can I find these wonderful starter items to accelerate my growth as a new Blademaster. . .

    oh wait i seem to recall as a Seeker &/or Mystic you get some nice gear to start off with until about level 25 + when you need to start getting the Level 4 armors.

    does this mean though i am currently only level 13, that these items i see in the guide will become available as i continue to quest or am i just smokin a dream pipe?

      As I mentioned in this thread, the quest that would give those rewards apparently isn't implemented, since there is no quest giver for the quest.

      so your saying that the rookie guide is showing stuff you cant get yet? why not save the hassle of people getting frustrated at seeing stuff they cannot get and just wait till everything is ready and in working order before getting people excited? makes more sense to me... i recall PWI having that kinda stuff in the past before the genesis update and UI change, the auction hall had items listed that cannot be obtained in the international version and recently i seen items un-usable since they required lvl 110... btw when is the level cap gunna be raised? there already is ppl in large amounts at lvl 100 and i seen a lvl 100 seeker already on raging tides with R8-R9 gear...

      Not only "can't get yet", but "may never be able to get".

      The problem is, the code just does a simple database search to find items that meet certain criteria. Unfortunately there isn't an easy way for the code to differentiate between items in the database that have and have not been implemented in the game. They can't simply remove these things from the database either, since they may have once been implemented but aren't now, meaning some people actually have items you can't get anymore, or the items may be implemented in one version of PW, but not in another, and trying to maintain multiple databases for multiple versions (on top of the translation differences) becomes increasingly complex and risky.

      So, they chose a simple compromise that usually works, and is better than nothing.

      It may be raised someday, but there have been no comments made suggesting it will be raised anytime soon, and I've heard that there have been other comments that it will never be raised (though I haven't seen such comments myself).

      Unfortunately, the quest that gives this items is not available anymore. Better find other gear to wear.

      Anymore? It wasn't available in the first place. Oh and thanks for the necro. We really needed you to answer a question that's already been answered.
