Is there somthing i'm missing with this whole ponies bronies thing? cause im all for funny shet but these just seem like an unfunny attempt and trying to be cute/funny that didn't work then I see it in every thread and so many sigs ._. feel free to make a woosh noise but can someone let me in on how its funny lol

    There's a reason why there's a convention for this television show.

    Edit: I agree with Shizukanashi. Go watch the show. It's good, in my opinion.

    It's not an attempt at being funny. People just really do enjoy the show. Go watch a few episode's, and then judge for yourself.

    It's mostly an internet thing that has spread from pony memes. It's embraced mainly by counter-culture hipsters who think its cool to like stuff they aren't expected to like. It's a good cartoon but it wouldn't be as appealing if people didn't have extremely low expectations from previous versions.

    Also Twilight Sparkle is best pony.

    Regarding Bronies and the sigs, - Watch th- nevermind.

    As for the threads - Normally, I'd make it a policy to post at least one in every thread (usually QQ/spam/likely to go to offtopic threads), but even I dont do that consistently.

    The only negative thing about being a brony is what society sees us as. What Tony posted is exactly what haters and the general stereotypical society sees us as.

    The creator of the show even embraces bronies. A recent quote from her was simply what bronies do in regards to what I said above:

    As everyone has stated in this thread (minus Tony, as he's on the other side of the show's group, i.e. the haters), just watch the show. It's called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Don't watch any other generation of the show. The latest one is the one everyone tends to like, due to it being more gender and age neutral than the other generations.

    The previous generations set the stereotype where everytime you hear "My Little Pony", you are immediately repulsed by it if you're a man, because stereotypically you'd think of girly prancy colorful horses with no character develop and is an all around bad cartoon that you wouldn't want to watch.

    But MLP: FiM is a lot different. For starters it's made by Lauren Faust, who is also the creator of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Powerpuff Girls (ironic fact, her husband was the actual creator of Powerpuff Girls). And the famous thing about Mrs. Faust is that she strives to create gender neutral shows that target a broader audience. Though this is pretty irrelevant if you don't know who she is.

    TL;DR: Here's the first episode: Enjoy.

    It took me 7 episodes before I actually liked it. The first six the whole time I was thinking "Why am I watching this, and why am I still continuing watching this?"

    In the end if you look at it from all perspectives of a good cartoon, there are lots of positive things about this show. I'll let you figure those out on your own, if you decide to watch it.

    This, after seeing so many ponies on various forums, like deviantART, etc, I was like...."Why is this show spreading all over the Internet?" So I decided the view an episode, it wasn't the first one, it was just a random one, and my first impressions weren't bad, but it was still awkward, however, as I watched an episode, I was surprised with my impressions at the end, it wasn't that bad, I didn't see anything wrong with it, I can understand why ppl liked it.

    Bronies remind me of furries in a way, both fandoms have insane **** that makes it look bad, mainly the "Rule 34" meme and the "Ruined Childhood" meme that make ppl go wtf.

    There's nothing wrong with liking the pony stuff, but why is it necessary to post about it in every single thread? Should I post pictures of penguins in every thread because I like them? I think that's the issue the 'haters' have with it. Just like those motivational posters that used to be in, or links to xkcd (especially the drop tables one) in computer related forums.

    A couple of times it is funny, but after a while you've seen the majority and it just becomes a +1 post. You can quite easily ignore them as you look what the link will point to, but it still adds a little aggravation every post you come across that is yet another pony/motivational poster/<insert current hype>. Obviously not enough to rage about, but just a slowly simmering resentment to the posters.

    As for ponies, I think it's kinda cute. I know there are people around who hate them with a passion but I don't mind them. Hating something just because the majority of people likes it is just... lol

    Amen, stopped watching TV also for some years now seems every year the quality of shows they put on the air gets more and more re tarded to satisfy people with low IQ, as for ponies, don`t mind them, some are funny which Skai uses. b:chuckle
