    PvP, at level 30, anyone 30+ can PK you and you can attack anyone 30+.

    PvE, you can turn off the ability to PK people and people to PK you.

    PvP = After level 30 you will be free to PK anyone anywhere outside safezones. This goes to other players also, you are free PK anywhere outside safezones. Basically means, free PK after ye hit level 30.

    PvE = Optional PK. After level 30 you have a choice whether to turn PK on or off. On default you will have a blue name, meaning no PK whatsoever. If you decide to click the button and change this setting, you will enter a PK mode. Meaning, you can PK any white named player you see, and any white named player can PK you.

    And dangit, Maiya was faster.

    that good to know. i think i go with PvE. i do think pvp is fun and all but getting hit as you try to lv is not that fun.;)
    can you turn it back off?

    In PvE server once ye turn PK on you have to wait atleast 10 hours to switch back. So yeah, you can turn it back off once yer bored of looking for white names to PK (which will happen alot).

    PvE servers are for carebears and PvP servers are for real players. Thats the difference.

    Normally this is true, however NOT in PWi. PvE is for people who don't want to have to spend 23 hours a day to 'farm' r9, or don't have or do not want to spend the $1500+ on r9 (several thousand more depending on desired refine level) etc... And want to actually ENJOY the game without being constantly harassed by these types of players. PvP is for those who can spend 23 hours out of a day to 'farm' r9, or just open their wallet to PWE and buy it, along with any desired refine levels, so they can waltz all over people who cannot or are not willing to do the same. Also, PvE servers are much better than some other MMO's in that, you can actually voluntarily switch between PvE and PvP "mode" (with a 10 hour switch cool-down)!

    It's no wonder they only have 2 PvP servers out of all 9 (7 PvE servers).

    So, if you're seeking to learn which one would be best to 'roll' on, I would say PvE. Had I known as much about PW's PvE servers when I 'rolled' I surely would have! Although they weren't always as horrible as they are now (since the release of sins and r9). If they ever offer a server transfer feature you can bet I will be first in line.

    PvP now is for extreme players, meaning they will put in either tons of cash, or tons of time, to be the best of the best.

    No necromancer class in this game.

    (We are still waiting to see any improvements or changes beign implemented. More empty promises from PWI?)
