Question About Salvation...

Hey guys, I've been wanting to know lately how great is the need to upgrade/use salvation? Ever since i got salvation i have always appreciated her but never really used her as much as i thought i would, and it seems from my experiences that I am one of few that rarely uses her. I will talk to most mystics on DW and they will tell me in their opinion, salvation is the "best" summon, and that they use her for almost everything. I am basically asking more experienced mystics whether it is really worth upgrading salvation and looking in to using her a lot more. Thanks in advance for the help you guys! b:victory

Um, I guess it'd be nice to have her maxed by time you start doing FC runs, but as you get higher she becomes less needed. Only instance I use her in now is when solo healing gv(yes, in harshlands we call rb gv 'cause we be cool like that b:chuckle). Other than that I use her in group pvp because I often take on the support role in these situations, which is kinda fun cause it gets you hated quick, which is just fine if you have a good genie and squadmates who protect well. I also use her in 1v1s vs wizzies, seekers, psys, and sins too, but I always switch summons anyway once they overcommit.

Best pet imo is Storm since she has the highest dps and her cc isn't blocked by antistuns, but I think devil has the best leech. <3 crits and tanking +10 deicides.

You'd be fine with just Storm Mistress and Cragglord. Mystics have multiple ways to heal/ protect, and healing really isn't all that at end game with BP, uber gears, and self heals on any that can't use BP.

she has proven useful at lower bhs and TT , mainly because it hard to find good tanks who know their job. My lvl 73 assassin (with only rank top and cape int gear) , tanked all bh59 bosses with just salvation and IHs from cleric. At low lvl FF , which are more common lately , salvation is also useful for shielding the puller , and the cleric in BB in case there are aggro problems. However like other said , Storm and cragg will be more beneficial to you and your squad at higher lvls due to their AoE abilities.

Every mystic plays differently as a healer/support role, I've noticed.

For me, personally, I looooove Salvation. Not only do I use it in BH/FCCs (which is VERY useful to buff the tanks as they're pulling) but in duals as well. Buffing yourself with her skills + Energy Leech makes some of my opponents hit 3-4 times before they even touch my HP.

I'd say max it ASAP. It's very useful during pulls on a barb or if there's a squishy tank (like a sin vs a boss) and they're hp is dropping too fast. The Aegis Sphere buff will prevent that from happening a lot less.

It's funny when some tanks think they've suddenly gotten better when the mobs are hitting them just 1 damage because of Salvation's buff.

My only issue with the aoe one is how weak it is compared to the single target one. Ik it shouldn't be as strong, but geez it could at least be higher than triple digits. b:surrender

Thinking the same about the aoe one... And i rarely use salvation but it's still a nice pet to use. In RB when i'm luring (normally barb's job), i use energy leech to eat up salvation.

I usually use sal all the time in fcc. I solo heal fcc so I use sal to buff the puller, resummon her to refresh cooldown and buff one other person who has trouble moderating aggro, leech her, then summon storm as the pull gathers. I also use sal on hands boss in fc exp room to buff myself in case someone hits miniboss.

Sounds more like waste than use. I'd rather kill faster.

I used to always time sally's sheild a little to slow and end up taking the (heal) agro away from the tank x.x , ive gotten better and when I do use sally im always glade I did.

P.s sorry this is a smidge off topic but for falling pettles, the buff itself lasts for up to a minuet, and heals over 9 seconds after attacked. my question is if the buff say has 3 seconds left and then you are attacked, do you still get the full nine seconds of healing?

    Edit: im 67 not 58.

I like the aoe one vs bosses that have random aggro/aoe attacks. its a tiny pinch of padding for the squishy players and gives the healer a chance to recover everyone
