I enjoy the game still You'll get a bunch of forum trolls telling you don't bother. I just suggest trying it out for yourself. When you join you might want to find a nice faction to join. It can get boring always being alone. The lower areas are not nearly as populated as they used to be because of frost powerleveling, but you can still play the game and enjoy it.0

You'll start to meet other people as soon as you get sent off to your main city, since the main cities are USUALLY populated with people of all levels (at least on Sanc), and you get to your race specific main city within the first 10 levels. The only one that may not be as populated is Tellus City (the starter city for Earthguards), because it's like a big maze in my opinion.
Once you hit 20, you get shipped off to the City of Archosaur, the most populated city on every server, and will be your main hub for shopping and questing for a while.
There are several different servers, btw. One big giant one would be a nightmare. o_o So many people...
PvP servers force you into permanent pk mode at level 30, which can be fun if that's what you want. Often times there's an adrenaline rush that comes with looking over your own back all the time. PvE servers give you the choice to go into pk mode anytime you want after 30, and are generally more laid back when it comes to questing. You should choose your server based on the Ping and if you want pvp or pve, so you'll have a good connection to play however you choose.
I definitely recommend finding a faction on whichever server you decide on. They're more often than not like little families and you can talk to them whenever you want, even on solo questing. Try to find one without too much drama, that can be stressful.
I've been playing on and off casually for about 4 years. I still find a lot of fun in the game and I've seen it change quite a bit.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Do not play this game! Unless you have $1,000s of dollars to spend on it you will not have any fun and always suk at this game.0

games a cash shop hell. pvp is dead, content is dead, everything is all about who can spend the most money, and then use the profit from selling all that cash shop **** to invest further on a second character, then claim you did all your fancy leveling and gear without using a cash shop to bolster your epeen.
anyone here posting whos 105 (capped level) abused a glitch to get there, or used cash shop items. dont trust them at all.
my recommendation is to play that pretty big named MMO that comes out tommorow, that starts with a T. its a lot more worth your cash.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The post above shows me how wrong can a player be and of course the reason why "spend thousands of dollars" and where there is abusive glitches and abusing fc to hell. It is either FC or get lost because most players are camping there which is extremely sad. The devs may have put things in cash shop, but does that mean you have to buy it? Obviously not.
No one wants to bother with even the culti bosses anymore. Team work went out of the window since FC became an exp instance. Then after those suckers finish power leveling, they either merchant for months (or even worse, years) or cash shop or join factions to get gear for free or something. This game is not newbie friendly anymore, it is either an old player from 2008-2009 or cash shopper or find another game. And this is by the player base fault, not the developers, not the GMs, the player base. Why is that? They want to be the best and they will go too far for it. If they do not get what they want, they whine and complain at the GMs and say "GMs do not exist." They spend more time being idiots then complain rather than playing the game. New players slowly come in the game and thinks that this game is very deserted (including world chat), then they believe that the game is dead so they won't get and ends up quitting the game because of the lack team work (they seek for help and no one helping them).
The solution is that the new players have to play together (strongly advised to play with some friends) instead of trying to get help from someone to get a boss quest done like suzerix and they won't really quit that way.0 -
I'm just gonna leave this here. b:avoid0

Last 3 posts says it all. Find another game, pwi is going downhill; you need to spend to be "good". Not to mention that each patch just makes the game worst and worst, the majority of the people that are left on this game...are old players.
Pwi is only wallet friendly, their customer service sucks, the game is not balanced.
Only prop's I would ever give to pwi is our pro fourm mods, shelly, the panda, frankie, etc.0 -
meh. wanna play to have fun? go ahead.
wanna play to be the very best and wtfpwn everyone that has being playing for years? suprise, you either have to pay cash, or farm a lot or merch or w/e.
I find it hard to believe that most people that QQ about having to spend tons of cash to have any kind of fun in the game arent spoiled brats that just cannot get over the fact that they cannot be super awesome in 5min...you only purge once #yopo0 -
It's true though, this game is as good as dead. If you don't spend at least $500 you will never have fun in end game pvp, and that's assuming youre smart with you're money, chances are you'll need to spend a couple thousand. DID YOU HEAR WHAT I SAID?? A COUPLE FUUUCKING THOUSAND TO HAVE FUN ON A FREEEE FUUUCKING GAME. Don't bother. Buy a car instead.b:cute0

Or, uh, ignore PVP?
It is a bit of a shame that cash is now a direct shortcut to in-game power; where previously it only got you some indirect benefits.
It is more of a shame that low level players are basically impossible to find and almost all of those are alts who just want to rush to max level as quickly as possible (and know ways to do it, too)
And yes, I'm aware of the irony that I'm now in the upper levels myself0 -

So you're implying that PvE isn't affected?
In case you've been living under a rock, you got squads that ask you to link your weapon in world chats, and refusing people who don't have +10 R8 or better for instances. Then you got nirvana runs, where you have to spend hundreds of dollars for aps gear before you can get accepted into them.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
