Problems with Mana

I am a level 39 (soon to be 40) barb.
I know that this is a bit early, but as I am starting to notice that my mana runs out in about 10 attacks, I am looking into endgame solutions and possibly even more recent ones (the cost of pots is cutting rather deep).
My curiosity is if there is a way to take a piece of equipment (not sure which type it would be) and add MP regen to it. Any answers on this matter, or other possible solutions would be much appreciated.

Most barbs at 100+ will only have about 1400-1500 MP, give or take a couple points. The good thing is MP charms will last a very long time. It is a little costly at lower levels, but there's not too much you can do about it.

at lvl 40 you will get a ton of mp pots from the supply stash (or maybe at 45?)
you can also make mp regen apothecary
at lvl75 there are really cheap mana pots (but with 1.4k mp pool a charm might be cheaper)

Slap on a platinum MP charm.

My barb had 1 at 75. And until 95, it still has like 500k on it. ROFL.

+1 for MP charm. Each tick is like 700-800 points off it, unlike a HP charm. I can eat through a Plat HP charm in one day if I'm busy.

Going Demon and spamming Demon BKI tends to make it burn down faster though, as far as MP charms are concerned. Mine WOULD have lasted until I got to 100 or even after, but I spam BKI for chi, so...
    101 Sage Sin*/Archer
    100 Demon BM*/Barb
    96 Demon Cleric/Sage Seeker
    95 Demon Wiz/
    94 Sage Veno
    85 Psy/80 Mystic
And a handful of other alts, all 79 and under.

Yeah spamming BKI is probably the only reason why it would be an MP burner.

But it can't burn that much. It's way better to get a plat MP charm during a sale because it would REALLY last for very long.

Oh but it burns the MP charm quite a bit, cause i believe that BKI costs 850+ mp and if you just get in to the game or are starting something and there is nothing around you spam BKI, plus at lvl 100 you spam till it reaches full triple spark and more. So it is kinda a MP burn that way.

And to the young barbie starting out again i would say for now just grab tons and tons of mp pots unless you can afford a charm, if so great if not the other option is there and put them in a skill bar so you can just click and play instead of opening your backpack.

At 100+ you will get blue divine orders, which can be broken down into 4 black divine orders (shadow orders). Those can each make 250 mana pots (poultrice of death or something) that only give 1000 mana but for a barb, thats enough. So one 15 minute long divine order gives me almost a month worth of mp food.

To answer the OP, no there is no way of adding a specific stat to your gear. You can hunt down other gear that already has that add on or you can buy/craft apothecaries that increase your mp recovery rate by 50 or 100 second.

Thank you all for the information. I have got my Apothecary up to date and will continue to do so (although the Crane Herb is not the easiest to harvest b:shedtear ) and unfortunately as I saiid I am very poor (average about 10k coinb:cry).

These pots are in the same style as the previous ones and tbh last me maybe 3-4 days, a week if I'm REALLY lucky. lol

As far as these divine orders you speak of Sakubatou, where do you get them and what do you mean by '15 minute long divine order'?

At level 40 you start getting Bounty Hunter quest on top of the platform in the center of Archosaur. These are a "kill one boss" quest and get a decent amount of experience and spirit. You also get a Divine Order seal, that you can take to the Divine Emessaries (one set is across from the S Banker, another set is near the TT forges by General Summer) and get a few additional quests that reward Divine Honors. These can be combined and traded for pots or weapons. The rewards are slightly different for every 10 levels but same concept.

I'd keep an eye on auction house and look for a cheap level 27, 37 robe/cape with +MP regeneration. I had a double +2MP bonus robe for quite a while (until I went Cape of Tauran at 69). b:victory

As others have suggested, getting an MP charm is simply the best way to go IMO as a barb.

At level 20 you can get a Divine Order of the Light from General Summer, which has no time limit and is useable until you're 50. It's not until BH39 at level 50+ that you get time limited Divine Orders from BH.

When you hit 75 you could use the yuanxiao herbs that recover 5k mana. I found it cheaper than an mp charm since it'd tick a lot cos of the buffs.

I use focus powder in BHs and such, not constantly. I have my farming days, boring but makes the rest of the week easier (life powder is still awesome at my lvl)
at lvl80 I buy the mp pots fer lvl40, saves on coinage and its not like we have a lotta mana to replace anyways
also my MAG is at 9 (and not going any higher), giving a bit more mana to play with, otherwise Im doing the pure VIT build (just enuff str and dex to hold my weapon)

Im running on a mix of 1k MP pots and 1.5k HP+MP pots. These will be the mainstay imho for you so long as you do ur BHs and pickup any and all blue/purple divine quests.

Normally I find I dont need to pot as often once Im in a instance with a clerics guardian buff.
Apoth is you best friend here, use the +50MP/sec pots (they last 10mins). Even the low level MP apoth pots typically give more MP than you'll ever have. Im 100 and have 1.45k MP.

Charms are expensive and will last a long time, but ever since the gold prices went through the roof, I find the MP pots the apoth NPC sells (lvl60 ones) work out cheaper for me.

People have criticized my love for demon IH as being "cheap" so that I don't have to pay for pots. That's not it at all. Barbs go through mana so quickly its easy to be empty right after you just used a pot and find yourself in a situation where you can't use a skill because you ran out of mana. With demon cleric's its one less thing to worry about.

On a side note, my cleric likes to be nice to seekers and set up an IH macro on seekers as they vortex. My cleric will need to pot about every 40 seconds but the seeker would need to pot every 12 seconds.

although the Crane Herb is not the easiest to harvest b:shedtear

b:avoid I'll just leave these here...

Interactive Map for PWI, just select the Herbs checkbox, and then select Crane Herbs under the 2nd grade herbs section. This works for mineable crafting mats too.

PWDatabase, great for locating mobs when you're looking for crafting items you can't mine or ones that drop DQ items to sell.
