Download problems?

So my sister has downloaded the game on her computer- Which meets all the requirements- but all that opens up is a word document that says [autorun]open=Install.exeicon=icon.ico
Installed it, the same thing popped up. We tried going into her program files to click the file for the launcher but there were no files under Perfect World Entertainment. Should we try downloading it again or is there some way to get it started?

Try going into the folder named "PWI_v621_Installer" and click "Install" application there in and see if that works.
I got the same error and I did that, and it downloaded.0 -
i tried that file but still get the same message
[autorun]
open=Install.exe

Basically the installer sucks. They built the download like it was designed to be loaded onto a DVD. Because of this, the installer looks at autorun.ini when it gets done to start the installer.
Truly, it should look to Install.exe and run that. It's even more appalling that PWE hasn't fixed this issue in their installer.
So to fix the issue....
1. Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs (Or Programs and Features, depending on what version of Windows you have), and un-install the Pando Media Booster.
2. Reboot your computer.
3. Open your user folder
4. Open the Downloads folder. (Location varies depending on what OS you're using, but you didn't tell me what that is so I can't help you there.)
5. Open the folder where it downloaded the PWI install files to. (Not sure on the exact name of the Decent folder, (it is in the forum if you bothered to look though), but Rising Tide was "PWIRisingTide_v402".)
6. Temporarily disable the active or real-time scan for your antivirus software.
7. Click that file and it runs the install. (If you're using Vista or Newer, Right-Click the file and select "Run as Administrator")
8.
9. Re-enable the active scan for your anti-virus software.
10. Add the directory that the client installed to to your antivirus software's exceptions list for active scans and scheduled scans.
11. Reboot
12. Enjoy.
Yes it's a lot of steps. Yes, it's a lot of work and requires some patience.
It will save you a hell of a lot of headaches if you do it that way though. It also solves about 60% of the issues people post about here.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Glad to know this topic helped, but I'm going to have to closed it now because it's been dead for well over 30 days.
