Disconnected from Server

Hi,

I am encountering a problem with my toon that was last logged off in West Archo. My Vend toon cannot connect to the game. After logging in and choosing the character then clicking start, the black screen loads and Entering Perfect World.... message shows up. Then nothing happens. After a minute or so I get the Disconnected from Server message.

My main toon which I logged off in other parts of the map (except West Archo) can login without problems.

I just make sure to log her off away from West Archo to avoid encountering the same problem.

    This can happen if you're in a glitched location. Hold down the "W" key while you see the loading screen after you've selected your character. It may take a few tries, but this typically works.

    Thanks! This worked a couple of times but then after logging off my toon near the West Banker I cannot log in back using this method. I tried so many times and still no go.

    I have a wireless connection and I just tried using it to log them on. Lo and behold I can log on toons in the middle of all the people in West Archo without problems.

    Weird thing is my Wireless connection is just 2MBPS and my main net connection is cable internet at 6MBPS. (the one where I encounter problems logging in toons in heavy populated areas). They are from different service providers. In game the wireless is a bit laggy and the cable isn't (which makes it odd why I cant log on to pwi with my cable while the slower and laggy Wireless can). So obviously there is just a connectivity issue with my cable net and PWI.

    I already contacted my ISP about the problem, sent the netstat/tracert/ping results.

    So now what I just do is when logging off my toons (using my cable net) I move them to places where there are very few people and do not encounter the problem logging them back in.

    I use my Wireless connection to log on toons if I mistakenly log them off in densely populated areas. I then move the toons to where there are very few people then switch to my Cable Internet.

    I also hope that after the maintenance the problem will be solved having to use the above method is tiring. b:surrender

    That's rather strange that you have better luck logging the toons in on the wireless than you do on the wired conection. Normally it is exactly the opposite. Given that scenario, I could be checking the cable that you use when you're on the wired connection. A traceroute comparison should show you some good details.

    ok 2 questions, one do u keep holding 'W' for as long as it takes to display the disconnected from server pop-up or until connects?

    2nd, if ur only supposed to wait a reasonable amount of time then i just tried it and it didnt work (no surprise since im in the middle of west arch), game works fine at my friend's house only seems to be my internet connection that is the problem, any proposed solutions?

    If you're getting a message that you've been disconnected that's something else. The fix I was describing is for an issue that causes CTD when it is loading the display engine after selecting your character.

    If you're getting a DC message, then I'd like to see your traceroute to the server.

    the same thing happend to me! after only 1 min loginig it says disconnect from server please login again , i was playing normally 2 days ago , suddenly THIS , it happens with all of the servers , i even reinstaled pwi , i have wireless connection and it works fine , my internet security doesnt have a problem with the online games eitheir , it has been 2 DAYS , i cant stand this!! b:irritated please help! b:sad

    You start a new thread or ask in one of the many threads that are much more recent. A few are even on the very first page and you don't even have to use the search feature.

    If you're on the Morai server, it's a known issue, it's being worked on, and there's an active thread on it with GM responses in General Discussion.

    If you're not, then read some of the other threads for tips on what you can do, and what you need to post if you need help.
