World bosses

I mean...where are all the world bosses gone? We used to scare our children with the Sword Tamer or the Cenminator, but meh, I can't find any of them...did PWE rimoved them?

    Almost all of them are killed immediately after they respawn.

    <Have 3 manned a WB with my cleric alt and a sin friend to paint and give the occasional ribstrike. Have also 5 manned with a couple level 80-99 that found the boss for me. That being said my gear is average, +7 ish with +10 claws.

    I point this out because OP geared players can solo them in a matter of minutes. I know after this weeks maintenance I heard 1 person was able to get 4 of the WBs (not sure if it was in a squad or solo). People were looking a few minutes after reset and they were all gone.

    I think this is part of the reason for Treasure Hunt quest offering chrono pages. As an alternative to the same people getting them every time.
    Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Free to play. Mystic, Psychic, and Wizard left to level. b:victory

    I remember killing world bosses as a little level 7X cleric along with about 20 more factionmates around the same level back in 2009 b:chuckle

    They are on strike.

    They want better wages and better graphics, but PWI is holding out on them because they don't see the need to upgrade them since they only live a few mins after they spawn.

    And solution of this problem is soooooooo easy. Of course not for developers, which are lazy morons. The solution is make spawn random. It has to be very simple code changing. But I think dev. don't know how, because there are new programmers and old left. That's why they are unable to fix glitches for years.

    wrong. spawn times has changed. I wont say what the new spawn times are so you kiddies can keep guessing.
    If you are in RT. Worldbosses are monopolized by 2-3 group of people so youll have no chance on finding a 'free' world boss

    Most of the world bosses in the Past maps are still hanging around. I saw one in Unicorn Forest the other day. It seems like people just don't bother unlocking/visiting those maps (other than OHT).

    err thought I remember fuzzy saying on forums a little way's back that they were supposed to be randomized from now on to keep certain groups of ppl from keeping a monopoly on them I think that they should just upgrade them and make them stronger so that it would still require the amounts of players they used to back in the day within the parameters of the newer gears damage lvls and so on upgradem like they did TT3-x and up for no reason basically just to watch some full r9+12 sin go up to harpy wraith and get stunned/sealed/purged within the first min of him attacking it would be awsomesauce to watch that happen lol.

    make it random spawn timed and much harder like a full 9 party of ppl with great gear not a silly solo player killing a wb.


    and if a wb is being attacked why not alarm the server of it so other faction can go and nuke the party who wana kill that wb.

    just make it so ppl dont monopolize thing wish are one only per reset

    I would just like to get my quests done, one of which is Harpy Wraith. But this boss is taken down immediately after it respawns. I know of many others that can't complete this quest because of this.

    I suppose the alternative would be to change the quest to a different boss, maybe in an instance.

    But i also suppose this won't happen since The Circle quest requires a boss in FB109 that doesn't exist in our server.

    That quest doesn't work any way. The Harpy that is on the world map is the wrong harpy. You need a GM to spawn the right harpy to be able to finish that quest. It has sat in my quest log for over 3 years.

    That quest doesn't work any way. The Harpy that is on the world map is the wrong harpy. You need a GM to spawn the right harpy to be able to finish that quest. It has sat in my quest log for over 3 years.

    It's probably this quest.
    The harpy wraith that is needed is this one, but it doesn't exist on map. This wraith, however, does.

    well, i just don't get how me and some friends killed Soul Hunter 2 days in a row. and now he hasn't spawned 2 days in a row :/ wtf O.o

    And i've been checking the WBs every freakin time.. i just don't get it

    It's funny how people think the new random respawn is a good thing. Anyone who farms world bosses regularly probably have a npc at each one. I know of at least 3 people on LC who had alts at every boss and it takes them a few minutes to check them all.

    When they're not randomized, it's easier for everyone to find them day after day, though it may come to parties trying to ks each other. With the randomized respawn, whomever checks all the bosses regularly will come across them, and the people complaining about them always being gone will still find they're always gone.

    The thing is, when they weren't respawned, even if you couldn't kill it, you can take down the times they were and come back with a larger party the next time... So whoever plays more and scans for world bosses more will actually have a much higher chance of getting more of the bosses.

    Random spawning didn't stop one faction from monopolizing the bosses. If anything, it just made sure it was harder for other factions to predict where that certain faction is atm so they can't try to crash them. b:laugh

    Michael is 100% correct. At least before there were some nice pk battles and fights for the bosses. Now...hasn't been a single fight.

    Unlikely, they're just lazy. They fixed magic shells glitch and its been there since open beta.

    Lazy and not all that competent. Fixing magic Shell has broken Dew of Star Protection apoth, where the short term magic resistance it gives now overwrites Magic Shell.

    Exactly, they made magic protection buff (in what ever form) overwritable as it should have been. other cleric buffs always overrid pots and vice versa (very annoying at a low lvl when using hp/mp regen pots and some random cleric thinks they help you by giving you a lvl 1 mp/hp regen buff)

    certain axes now override cleric buffs (ones that say increase phys or mag resistance).

    not sure on cleric buffs, but I know other weapons buffs always overrid character buffs, like the mid lvl daggers that can self cast reflect on you, that reflect overrid veno bramble. weapon phys def buff gives the *ish icon (what you see from demon bell) i'm not familar with a wep that boosts mag def, (not saying there isn't one) but since there is only one mag def icon it makes since that now it would override like it's supposed to. Wish mag def had multi icons like phys def does

    Its a worthwhile sacrifice for having more control over that buff. I use the uneven training base apothecary more often anyway if I need pdef.

    I'm still annoyed they didn't do the same thing with blazing arrow.
