Caster Nirvana (loose tali when open if someone dont have it or someone on npc head)

Im probably not the only to who that happenned, you go in a caster squad and the opening caster nirvana fail cause someone dont have a tali or the lead opened too fast when the last person enter and still on npc head, than all loose the talisman for nothing.

A person who have 1 char can get 3 talisman each day max (npc and the bh) and its when its not a bh none do, like gv third wave, warsong cannon or lunar, already 3 is not much and we loose one cause open to fast or cause a peson forgot take it or dont have one.

That could be nice nice beside fail and loose tali, if someone dont have it or ''not in range'' (on npc head) that just dont open beside make ppl loose a tali.

Yes some squad leader ask to link it, but not all do and just open when all in and than that fail, and someone say ''oups i forgot take it from npc, sorry guys'' leave squad. Or lead ask all link and when he saw the last person come in hurry speak npc to open and make it fail all loose tali.

Its really annoying espacially in 2x, cause a run can give around 1m+ (and its a bad run of 11 canny and 2 rapt).

When we are just 5 in squad we cannot open it that should be the same, not 6 tali that dont open.

Caster is a great thing for AA who cannot go in normal but already we have the tali restriction max 3 a day (sometime 2) could be nice to dont loose it for nothing.

    This isn't a new problem to be sure and I feel for you when it fails, but it's also easily preventable by the squad leader taking their time. A fix where the tali isn't removed until the opening is successful instead of when the opening quest is started would be nice, but not sure if that would ever happen.

    If the devs really wanted to fix the glitch that was used there, they would only need to prevent cat-shopping in that instance...instead, we get a half-flanked solution that could easily ruin runs if you're not careful.

    Not suprising, looking at the way they "fixed" another popular glitch that was used alot sometime ago...

    Well not all lead take time to ask link tali or to wait all on ground to open.

    And Euthymius i dont say its a glitch, its maybe done like that but cause some lead to hurry or some ppl stupid ppl who come without we loose a tali.

    You can go in kitty shop in majority of instance, and caster was new so they didnt though about that prolly, but anyway i wasnt speaking about that at all on this tread.

    I think you are confused, the fix to the casters catshop glitch has nothing to do with this problem. People have had this problem since start of casters, but you didn't hear about it much why, well before the glitch was widely known a good number of casters said ehhh not worth doing only 1 or 2 runs.

    After a while the glitch became widely known and more and more casters starting doing it and they realized hey the drops here aren't as bad as what they were lead to believe. So more people started doing runs regularly with or without glitch and so the failing due to lack of tali or "to soon after entry" became more common as well.

    And now that the catshop glitch is fixed people just assume one thing caused another.

    Hmm, you're probably right - before the caster glitch's discovery, I never heard about the quest-failing eating talismans before, even when running it regularly. :shrugs:

    I still doubt we're going to see a proper fix for such a thing...

    I saw it before catshop glitch but i wasnt doing caster really much i just did couple time not enough to worry about it, i started recently to do caster on my wizz dailies since i lvled 100 last 2x and that happen often its why personnally i speak about it now.

    Actually it never happened before the cat shop glitch "fix". Whenever someone didn't have a talisman the quest would fail but you would not lose the talisman. The quest just failed and you could stay and talk to the NPC again.

    It really is a problem but I don't see any fixes for it unless many many people complain.

    Ahhhhhh no,

    Perhaps you misremember or that one time something odd happened. But the coding for starting caster nirvana has not changed. Leader takes the quest Talismans disappear then you get success or fail based on if everyone had tali and the nirvana coin thing it gives you when you enter.

    What SHOULD happen is Leader takes quest if success for party tali's disappear if fail nothing changes. What's happening is the same as what has always happened talismans are taken from you BEFORE success or failure is determined. All the fix did was make it so tali's would disappear when in catshop where as before they wouldn't hence the glitch.

    b4 the fix e1 could stay in, the person without tali came back in and pt lead just took the Q again
    also it is false that you loose tali ONLY if some1 doesn't have one
    personally i was lead TWICE when all members had talis and rally stones and quest failed....
    after that i noticed it takes 2 extra quests and it even shows em on tracker
    i don't remember did the fail happen to me after that in such a manner
    anywhore the tali thing is BS really

    I didn't do many caster runs at first because it was more like "something different and new" to do for fun for me at the time but I also remember the quest not failing so easily. I'm pretty sure if it failed we still had talis and could re-try.

    Eh it went back and forth the head npc thing has always been there I've failed a couple cause I wasn't paying attention and started it. I don't know about the other I doubt its a new issue tbh

    I had this issue once that someone else haven't the talisman and we all lost our talismans, quest failed and we didn't recovered it.

    GM's should add something like when fb is failed and you recover the tab, to recover our talismans or just make a message about 'not required item' so the squad can know that someone is missing their talisman to open.

    I always ask for link talisman before start.
