Patcher issue

So, having a bit of an issue.. and not sure why in all honesty. After trying to upload a private server, and failing massively.. a friend is now having issues getting the patcher launcher to run, thus when a new patch comes out, he/she won't be able to update pwi. Any solutions?

We tried installing pw vendetta to test r9 out, I was testing sage sin before I went sage (now I don't wanna go sage). and figured we'd enjoy some time away from the drama and just hang out. But I'm assuming when we copied over the files something got corrupted and now the pwi patcher launcher just isn't working at all. they can still log in through the element client, but that's all.. really need a solution to this issue.

    You mean as in hosting one yourself? You can **** up quite a lot of stuff quite badly by attempting that.

    Pretty sure that's the case here. Having him reinstall would be your best bet.

    No wasn't trying to host one.. was trying to install perfect world vendetta. Thinking something went wrong when copying over the files like it said to do, and now the patcher launcher won't work on the original perfect world =\.. don't really wanna re-install if I can avoid it lol

    If the private server install over-wrote the original PWI files, it's your only option. Download the torrent, it's faster and more stable. Downloading the patches manually saves a crapload of time as well. Took me 15 minutes to manually download patches, and 5 hours for automatic on the same PC.
