Client won't run

Okay. So, I installed everything, and now, I simply can't seem to play on the client...
All I get when I click "start" is this error: "failed to initalize 0xc0000034"
So now, what is the deal here? I mean, I really want to play.. but I can't figure out the issue.
Suggestions?

My computer crashed so I had to download the game again. I downloaded the Direct X9.0c and the C++ redistributable 2005, 2008, 2010. nothing has worked. downloaded the game x3. I am also get this message "fail to initialize 0x0000034" There must be a dll missing or something. Any suggestions for a Windows XP user, or where to find a site to download this this vcrun 2005/vcrun 2008. I am getting very discouraged after 4 days of working on this.0

I'm not getting an error report. But every time I try launching the game from the patcher, the screen goes black for a second like it is about to load and then comes back to the patcher screen. I've updated DirectX and the 2010 C++, I've also verified my client. Any suggestions?0

I had this happen on one of my systems, don't recall exactly what fixed it, but it was either updating the Visual C++ distribution or the .NET Framework. Thought it was kind of odd because I keep my systems fully updated, but somehow I was missing part of one of those that the client needed.
Hope that helps.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Thank you so much! It worked perfectly. I know you've been helping out a lot lately, and been getting some **** from a few people, so I just wanted to make sure to thank you. I really appreciate it >^.^<0 -

Then I need more input on your system, your OS, your security software, what you've tried exactly, and how you've done it. Assuming you're getting the same error. If it's a different error, then state what it is and what leads up to it in as much detail as possible.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
COmputer:AMD Semphron(tm) Processor 2600+
1.61 GH.z 512MB of ram
Windows Xp SP3 version 2002
i verify my client reinstal the game 3 times install Visual C++ distribution and the .NET Framework still same error 0xc00000340 -
ok I would un-install the .NET framework and the C++ binaries through add remove programs. Then reboot the computer, install them, and reboot again.
After it comes back up, ensure that the client directory is in the exception/exclusion list for your antivirus/security software, disable your active/real-time/sonar scan and then verify the files twice. (Why twice you ask? Because the idiot software doesn't always get it right the first try.)
Now do a hard reboot. Completely shut down the PC, remove all power sources, press and hold the power button for several seconds to bleed everything out of the capacitors, and then restore power and fire it back up.
Grab a soda or a cup of coffee. Allow your system to completely boot. Just because you can see the desktop and start programs, does not mean your PC is done booting. Give it 5 minutes or so.
Try to play again and let me know. Don't re-install the client, you're just wasting time doing that.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Verify pach 1 and pach 2 or twice pach 1 ?0

That's not a hard reboot and about the dumbest thing ever seen suggested.0 -

The start-up of a computer from a powered-down, or off, state.
Also called a hard boot.
Contrast with warm boot, restarting a computer via the operating system.
It is done because when you reboot normally via the operating system the power is not drained from the memory and remnants of code can remain encapsulated within the memory cells which then corrupts your next boot and can interfere with the working of your operating system.
In the IT field, this is a common practice as one of the first troubleshooting steps because it resolves the issue with malfunctioning software about 70-80% of the time.
It would only be the dumbest thing ever suggested if you didn't know diddly squat about supporting computer hardware and software for the past 30 years.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
