So to those you have the new rare dino pet or are planing on getting one, do you know what skills you plan to put on it? I didn't see any thread that discusses about it so I thought it would be nice to talk about which skill combo might be best for this little damage villain :3

Well, where are you planning on using it? PVE? PVP? If PVE, caster nirvy or general instances?

Initial skillset is roar 1, pierce 1, bash 1. I'd say, max bash, add and max howl. If you can afford it, add and max claw or add the base pet aggressiveness buff (essentially a level 6 claw), replacing roar. If demon, you might want to max pierce, as your ironwood debuff is unreliable; if sage, perhaps replace it with an elemental attack.

That would be as a DD pet. As a low cost tanking pet: bash, tough, threaten, maybe pierce (for when you're spam healing) or howl (if you expect to be able to DD a bit, As a wannabe herc: bash, strong, protect, reflect.

Well, I'm a sage veno, and I think for my setup I want to go with:

    Bless
    Lvl6 Claw
    Howl

For the last skill, I will be playing around with many difference skills that I'll farm from DT. I kinda want to test out Pounce first for the increased attack. I don't think I'll be using this pet to tank anything as I have my herc with strong/protect/bless/reflect, so it will just be support DD

I'm going to get Claw for it so I kinda left a slot open.
As a Demon venomancer, I maxed out Pierce, I added Toxic Mist (benefits from demon venomous) and Flesh Ream. I might temporary add Howl to it or another attack skill, I'm still trying to decide on that one.

Overall, it's best to customize it as a DD pet, not a tank-ish pet. Claw is the best choice in my opinion and other than that just attack skills and perhaps a debuff.

I will go with Protect, Claw and Strong + Bash for my Dino.

Basically cause I want it to take the place of a tanky DPS-Pet in my (sage-Veno) formation. In high-level instances like Warsong or the higher TTs Bosses AoE and Random-Aggro a lot and a dead pet is a more than noticable drop in damage-output.

With this skillset the Dino should be able to deal loads of damage and take some hits from the Bosses. More survivability means more constant damage-Output and quicker TT-Squad-Solo-Runs.
