need an inquiry on reshaping a particular piece of recast armor

namely this Gaiters of the Ocean: Sol

in plane and simple i want to know if the physical defence stats change if i reshape

Physical Defense +800-1243 <<<
Metal defence +1243
Wood defence +1243
Water defence +1243
Fire defence +1243
Earth defence +1243
Level Required: 100

I already have 1190 physical defence on my legs but want to reshape it since i got mp and magic stats on it will it change ?? just submitted a ticket also but thought it would be more helpful in forums since u know gms basically dont do much on tickets and give generic answers as usual<find community more helpful>

    The only thing reshaping changes are the 3 random stats you get which are shown under the item addons tab.

    i was shocked when i saw this but apparently all us know-it-alls were wrong b:shocked

    i just saw these on a sin on my server, and ran to check the forges to see if any of the re-forge or hone options enhanced base stats or were at least variable, but they arent on the forges. but these exist O.O so it seems that base stats are variable on r8 recast, it caught my eye especially because the pants base were higher than the top (also r8 recast) .

    ya maybe when u first recast them...but talkin about reshapping that only rerolls the 3 random add ons, thats all

    I just recast my R8 Chest on my BM. I believe I got the PDef and MDef into the 'upper range' of the possible outcomes. But, I got +HP, evasion, and +HP, so I'm going to be recasting. I have a screencap of my chest piece as it came out on initial recast, I will screencap it each time if I get the funds to reroll (actually already have said funds, more worried about the time right now). I'll make a new thread, unless i can do this tomorrow.
