In the beginning of this TW you can see how much damage a rank 9 + 12 psychic can do to other players.
How long will it take average-non-cash shopping players to be able to compete with the rank 9 recast players who can get the gears fast?
Will this change TW or have an impact on TW eventually?

Uhhhh... I was oneshotting a R9 Psy in TW on my 96 Archer. She wasn't +12 though. b:sweat was charmed.
R9 costs $1500. Recasting is another car's worth of investment. I really don't see it becoming that common to put $1500 into the set, another $1000 or however much into reforging, then $500 a piece into +12. You really COULD buy a brand new Kia sedan for that much money. That's also like 100+ years worth of paid subscription for a Pay to Play MMO.

Defensive wise, the psy looked pretty untouchable, at the end around the crystal for example. Think I saw R9 archers hitting the psy 300s. Offensive wise, the damage was meh, I've seen more from normal R9s, was nothing spectacular. When he/she wasn't sparked, they were only doing 5k-6k ish.
I did smile though. Not seen a herc in even nub TWs for like 18 months, and a bm had calamities lol.0 -

The thing about R9 psy is that the R9 gear give a huge boost to attack levels and a small boost to defense levels.If she was using her voodoo skills that switches between attack and defense levels then I'm sure she was using the one to increase defense. Making her unkillable, but at the same time the R9 was letting her damage stay above 5k a hit.
If she sacrificed her defense for attack she problably would have been hitting 10k a hit.b:scorn...We are one, We are many, We are watching you...b:scorn0 -

Why else would it cost as much as a small car or a years rent?
The thing is, not many people are "awesome" enough to want to spend that much money/time on pixels that they don't truly own. (replace "awesome" with any word you find personally appropriate b:chuckle)
Will it change TW? Not much. There are currently a whole 2 people on DW who have this gear, and they aren't in the same faction anymore. So, unless you're saying one r9 recast +12 player can solo a whole TW, then no, it doesn't change anything. One r9 +12 non-recast player would have pretty much the same effect in a TW like the one in that video.
From a business perspective r9 recast is genius. It probably took about $50 to pay the developers to make a new database entry for the set bonuses and create the quest at the npc to reforge the gear, they didn't even bother updating the graphics of the gear. The first set someone charged cash for gave them like 1000% profit, lol.
Some of the heaviest spenders I know say the cost isn't even worth it, so don't expect to see many more r9 recast players unless the cost somehow drops a LOT.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

The physic showed no skill just tab kill tab kill tab kill tab kill lol they all seemed like fails to me anyway. I'm pretty sure a standard rank 9 player can defeat a rank 9 recast player since the bonuses aren't really "effective".0 -

for archer example..
R9 vs recast.. to me it would be about 1k more mdef full buffed. around 800 more hp. 10 attack lvls and what 100 more p.att in char page and 2% more crit.
it's not what make a fight outcome different. full +12 myself, but i see no reason of going Recast, i mean seriously.. why? lol105 - 105 - 105 (14th march 2014)

the truth is, yes r9.5 (r9 recast) is OP as hell. but calculate how much money it costs people to buy the whole set. if they are willing to pay that much money into the game to get this set, then so be it. likewise, if people are willing the farm the hell outa themselves, so be it as well.
main thing is, people dont realize cash shoppers arent getting their items out of thin air. they are agreeing to pay a whole lot of money in RL instead of paying a whole lot of RL time farming money. its a choice between the two, and neither is "inferior" to the other.the loser fail nab cleric from dreamweaver who quit pwi, but still wanders the forums.0 -

To be fair the faction with the recasted rank 9 + 12 psychic lost in the 3 hour TW. The faction's fighting were Gladio and Kindrid. Yesterday it took Gladio over 1 hour to beat Kindrid in a Tw. I doub't it was a tier 1 faction rolling a tier 2 faction though seeing as Kindrid was outnumbering also. But yes please don't make asusmptions of the Dreamweaver server based off of these few minutes of video footage.

This is so true, this applies to me, I don't have all the time of my life to spend on this game, so I save at least $200-300 a month off my pay check to cash shop, which is nothing if you get paid $30/hour. That's around $4600 a month- 300(PWI CS)= 4300 to spend, mortgage=$956 + utilities around $500+ groceries around $600/month, Gasoline around $200/month= 2456. So 1844 extra a month goes to my savings.0 -
