You're an archer. You have to learn to deal with that kind of stuff because you'll do a crapton of damage compared to the other classes of your level. Try sticking to just using skills, especially the slow channeling ones, to avoid taking aggro but only AFTER everyone else has really begun to take it down, otherwise you'll just take aggro again.

is it because i do 12k dmg per hit? i even use low lvl rings and still aggro... i scared if i get higher lvl rings i would steal aggro even without spark anyway :(

take aim may help with not taking aggro

Try whispering soothing words to mobs and bosses (maybe let them know it's not personal or anything) so they don't get mad. Otherwise try attacking with your slingshot in the opposite hand, space out your attacks, let the tank get aggro etc etc.

What you need to do besides timing your attacks is use a lower level bow. Keep your high level bow for quests and grinding and all that critical goodness.

you just need to controll your critting streaks.
i always used lvl 69 sling or tt-80 gold bow in there.

just a note...i died a lot in there and even can hold responsible for squad wipes bec i was too careless about controlling my power before i learned to controll it.

you don't have something like the sins have so just take breaks between hits(especially if you crit 2 or 3 times in a row),
that mostly gives (i asume barb is tanking) the tank time to hold on to agro.

as for sparking, sorry, just not spark at all unless you have a lvl 100+ barb or sin tanking.
having fists/claws also works on bosses like pyro.

Agro control should be basic things to learn when playing DD class. (Before you are geared up enough to stand hits)

This is pretty much sound advice. A good DD will ride the line between stealing aggro and dealing damage (since, ya know, it's our job), but that means it's easy to steal aggro accidentally with a couple crits, and with archers that happens a lot. So if you think you're on the verge of stealing aggro, back off and take a breather.

Spark adds a lot of damage. Don't spark unless you know the tank can hold aggro. There's no set formula for when you should attack and with what. You just tend to get a feel for it. Practice, practice, practice. It will also vary from squad to squad.

Pay attention on the way to the boss. If you're stealing aggro more then you usually do while killing mobs, then you're going to want to take a bit more caution while fighting the boss.

    Bleh....named himself a troll....Fail troll fails...

But for any actual archer with this issue...here is a tip: Wait 2-3 minutes (or at least 300k hp) before attacking the boss. Usually by this time the aggro is established to a single person and issue is solved.
Nothing worthwhile to mention here, enjoy the animated signature~

Barb aggro skills really come online at 7x and that is when they can hold aggro the best. After that, archer damage output typically overtakes their aggro holding ability. I used to have to use frenzy pills and spark as soon as possible to play aggro steal from barbs. Lol

The tankers must be the ones that draw the most aggro, and certainly, that means archers must control their DPS. You shouldnt be sparking at all in a boss fight if the tanker is a barbs or a bm who's around the same level as u. (My experiences tells me that they arent good at holding aggro at this level yet.)

Learn to watch how much damage your squad members are doing. At this point, archers easily out-DPS most melee tankers. Sometimes, u might even need to stop attacking after u see yourself doing a few critical in a row.

When u see the boss coming after u instead during a fight, that certainly is a red light lit asking u to stop. Started poting, and cast winged shell and stand still so your squad can draw back the aggro from u.

Been in a squad with 3archers (including me) for bh. Went disastrous as each archer hits a different mob. b:chuckle

The role for archers in such fights is to be the best DD, yet not draw aggro. That kind of means holding back on skills, but as long as it gets the job done, u have fulfilled your role in the squad.
