I have patch 623 and it's patched, but I go to enter my login info and get a client not updated message :/

I've tried numerous things to fix it but none worked. Any idea's or suggestions? I really don't wanna reinstall the entire PWI.....

This is pretty common when your antivirus software is blocking the updater from modifying files. This happens because some of the code to gather data from the server database looks like a common macro virus.

To fix it, add the client directory to your antivirus software's exception list for both the active and scheduled scans. I also recommend temporarily disabling the active scan while you update/verify the files.

After that's done, then verify the files a couple of times and you should be ready to rock and roll again.

It's strange because it was working fine this morning, and now it's doing this....only thing that I really did was restart my computer. The verify is running right now and is well......taking a long time lol. I hope that it fixes it.

From what I can understand it's updated my Game files but the Client itself is outdated, is there a way to just update the client itself?

Verify is really the only safe way to do it. The problem is that elementclient.exe uses the WGet command to pull data. While this is a Linux command, it's also a fairly common MSOffice macro virus. So, the antivirus automatically flags it, locks the file from being updated, and now you have an out-of-date client.
What's really stupid is that you could create a similar macro to format a persons hard drive and the antivirus software will never detect it. Kinda makes you think of government operations.
